<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Broncos DE Coleman retiring after 14 years in NFLBy Len PasquarelliESPN.comFourteen-year veteran defensive end Marco Coleman, who had hinted at leaving the game after each of the last few seasons, has decided to retire.Coleman, 36, played the last two seasons with the Denver Broncos, but his playing time was cut dramatically in 2005.It is expected that Coleman, who has filed his retirement papers with the league, now will attend full-time to his several business interests in the Jacksonville, Fla., area, where he lives.A first-round draft choice of the Miami Dolphins in 1992, and the 12th player selected overall that year, Coleman played for six teams during a very solid career. He left the Dolphins after the 1995 season, and then played with San Diego (1996-1998), Washington (1999-2001), Jacksonville (2002), Philadelphia (2003) and Denver (2004-2005).As recently as 2004, Coleman was a full-time player, as he started all 16 games for the Broncos that season. But the Broncos added four veteran defensive linemen in 2005, all from Cleveland in trades or free-agent acquisitions, and Coleman appeared in just seven games, a career low. It was only the second time in his career that Coleman did not start at least one game.Coleman had seven tackles and one sack in 2005.Although he only once posted double-digit sacks, in 2000, when his dozen sacks helped earn him his one Pro Bowl berth, Coleman was a consistent pass rusher throughout his career. He finished with 65? sacks and had at least one-half sack in each of his 14 seasons. Coleman registered five or more sacks in six seasons. In 207 regular-season appearances, including 185 starts, Coleman had 611 tackles, 21 forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and one interception.Len Pasquarelli is a senior NFL writer for ESPN.com.</div>http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2335133
yeah and that's probably because he's reached the age 36--his body just isn't what it used to be. It's time for him to call it quits.
