Skylar Mays just signed a 10-day with Portland. He was playing in the G-League on one of those G-League teams. Skylar was a Hawk back in the glory days of 2021.

I just learned Keon Johnson broke his finger this morning. Can't make a go tonight vs. Kings.

Portland called up Mays. Let's see what he's got !!

Imagine this being something to be excited about…

I'm glad to see that we are upgrading the tank, even if it is for just a few days. That last game the tank was treadless.

I would guess that this is an attempt to show we are not intentionally tanking; the actual result will most likely be the opposite.

It's doubtful Portland will get away with deliberately tanking. If there is a fine distributed, we won't hear about it for awhile. It might take a month or so to be "investigated".

Skylar scored 14 points in his Blazer debut.
The other new guy had 6.

end result : Blazers didn't lose by 40 tonight

as long as they dont eat into sharpes minutes fine by me do whatever yall need to do to look like were trying

Solid effort by Mays. Ran the offends, hit Shape the ball, scored it a little, and kept the turnovers low.

Not bad at all for maybe one walk through.

If the Blazers have this guy on the roster next year get ready for Tank #3.

Please tell me you all are joking. "Nice Reads", "Not Bad", "Way better" . Really?

Disagree. Roster spots 11 - 17, are for depth & two-way players for the most part. The Blazers need to add depth to key positions like PG and center. He looks like a quality depth player. He was going against a very good Kings squad with a great PG in Fox. He played within himself, and showed an ability to facilitate, and score when needed. Maybe he ends up being this years Eubanks.

Please replace Archie and Keon with Skylar and Shaq.

I would agree. One of the top priorities the team needs to address this off-season is the desperate need for a backup PG who is actually a PG. Not sure Skylar is that guy, but his energy was nice and his PG skills were a nice break from Trendon bringin up the ball and being a hit or miss when it comes to his passing or dribbling (and he's arguably the 3rd or 4th best dribbler on the team).
