In our sun-down perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing “base,” a certain game of ball…. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms…. The game of ball is glorious.

Cole walks the first batter on 4 strikes, then proceeds to strike out the next 3.

Volpe flashing golden leather. Wouldn't it be something grand if he won the Gold Glove in his rookie year?

GT has to put all the pieces together and have a *good year offensively, defensively and on the bases too, or else he's nothing more than glorified trade-bait.

    I wish him well.
Imo, GT has to have more than a *"good year" to remain on the team. Anything less than 35 HR's, a >.300 B'Avg, 100 RBI's, and a .400 OBP% will be considered a failure imo.
