Competence at PG these days without Dame or Ant is shocking. I liked his reads. Could be a decent third string minimum player for us moving forward next year.
Solid effort by Mays. Ran the offends, hit Shape the ball, scored it a little, and kept the turnovers low. Not bad at all for maybe one walk through.
If the Blazers have this guy on the roster next year get ready for Tank #3. Please tell me you all are joking. "Nice Reads", "Not Bad", "Way better" . Really?
Disagree. Roster spots 11 - 17, are for depth & two-way players for the most part. The Blazers need to add depth to key positions like PG and center. He looks like a quality depth player. He was going against a very good Kings squad with a great PG in Fox. He played within himself, and showed an ability to facilitate, and score when needed. Maybe he ends up being this years Eubanks.
I would agree. One of the top priorities the team needs to address this off-season is the desperate need for a backup PG who is actually a PG. Not sure Skylar is that guy, but his energy was nice and his PG skills were a nice break from Trendon bringin up the ball and being a hit or miss when it comes to his passing or dribbling (and he's arguably the 3rd or 4th best dribbler on the team).
They sign another guard to a TWO YEAR CONTRACT? I swear this front office is allergic to signing guys over 6’9”.
He's listed as a tweener, SG/SF. https://ubbulls.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/jeenathan-williams/5948
I'd imagine there's at least one guarantee date. Often contracts like this can remain non-guaranteed throughout
If keeping this starting core remains the priority, at least Blazer fans will be prepared for a tank next season. The Front Office PR fooled us with incredible optimism and a playoff narrative with their finger on the tank button approaching the trade deadline.
Nah. I'm sorry but this sounds like Blazer Fan delusion to me. The part I agree with is the roster spots being for depth. If your depth includes players of this caliber you have none. Look at the Nuggets, Clippers (Oh my), Kings, Suns, Warriors and get back to us. Those teams second units give the Blazers first unit (with Chauncey Billups running the show) a run for their money.
We probably should look at who the veteran short PG/SG upcoming free agents are; that might be our big MLE hard cap singing this off-season.
