So what you are seeing, despite the fact that teams are rolling out their starting lineups against us, is that teams are just letting Shae score because that's just not what I'm seeing. They are doubling him, they are walling him off when he tries to get to the basket... they're competing. If that's not what you are seeing, I guess that's cool and all but we'll have to agree to disagree.

Okay. If you say so. Maybe they could give them another couple teams? San Diego, San Jose, Bakersfield?

I'm as much of a Shaedon Sharpe fan as many. I want him to get better for sure. Yes this is good experience. He is improving for sure. Teams that are immediately 10-15 points ahead and end the game leading from the first minute or two throughout are not playing hard. Anyone who played sports knows if you are rolling through a game you are not playing at the same level.
So yes I'll agree to disagree with you here.

Cool, don’t watch the games then. No one is making you.

It was more painful watching Dame and the starters lose every night with a broken roster. What were we learning about the team? Nothing.

Instead, I am enjoying watching a promising, developing young player as a tiny dessert after a shit sandwich main course of a season.

So should we discount all of Dame's stats this season?

How about SGA? Thunder are 38-40.

    Luka? Mavs are 37-40.

How about Markannen? Jazz are 36-41.

How about Bradley Beal? Wiz are 34-43.

    Haliburton? Pacers are 34-44.

    Banchero? Magic are 33-44.

But let's look closer, because you said any scrub could go out and put up 25 a night on a team that is not worried about losing.

Who is actively tanking right now? How many of those teams have a guy averaging 25 a night?

    Blazers - Dame
    Pacers - none
    Spurs - none
    Wizards - none
    Hornets - none
    Rockets - none
    Pistons - none
    Magic - none

The Blazers are the only team with a guy averaging over 25 a night on a tanking team (although technically Dame is done for the rest of the season.)

How about guys averaging over 20 per game?

    Blazers - Dame/Grant/Simons
    Pacers - Haliburton
    Spurs - Keldon Johnson
    Wizards - Beal/Porzingis/Kuzma
    Hornets - Ball/Rozier/Oubre
    Rockets - Green
    Pistons - Bogdanovic/Cunningham (19.9)
    Magic - Banchero

So it seems like any scrub could put up 20 a night on a bad team, but 25 is a bit harder to pull off. Here are his numbers as a starter over the past six games:
    24.3 PPG
    46% from the field
    43.3% from three
    6 rebs
    3.5 assists

That's better than any of those dudes but Dame.

Totally disagree. Fox was playing so hard he almost messed his leg or foot up. Sabonis was getting pissed and bringing it against Eubanks. They should be the current roster that's being put out there. Bigtime! But these teams are making their shots. Bringing it. Mike Brown isn't playing his starters in the 4th qtr. if he wasn't worried about something. And teams are defending Sharpe closer now. It's up to Shaedon to put the work in this offseason to take his game where many of us think he can.

I'd also like to point out that the teams that are in playoffs are probably trying to tighten up their rotation a bit and play the minutes they are going to get or just shy of unless they are whoopin a team.

Well you can call it whatever you want. The Kings beat the Blazers over the last two games by a combined score of over 60 points.
They were never worried and they never were behind. It was never a game.

7 of 30 teams have won over 58% of their games. 14 of 30 teams are below 500.
This league is built around mediocrity and that's one of the reason why they want an in-season tourney.
Wouldnt surprise me to eventually see a pre season/summer league type tourney down the road.

Don't the Timbers have a mini-championship thing with just 3 teams?

I think the NBA is trying to follow soccers model of various in season tourneys.

Some call that league-wide mediocrity, whilst others call it parity.
