It sure seems the big picture is not visible to some.

No, this is better, because that SL championship team could've beaten the team we put out there last night.

Why would this send a message to stop tanking? Makes no sense. If anything this shows that Shaedon shouldn't have been put back in the game.

Threads like this show the forum maybe could use a 'dislike' button.

I don't think it's Chauncey's job to actually try and lose games, it's the opposite. It's on Joe now to shut Shaedon down.

You say that but I truly think Chauncey has been in on the tank. I think he just saw that Orlando and Indiana both won recently so he had room to pick a win up.

Agreed that he can see what is going on. Disagree that he's out there losing on purpose, but keeping an eye on the standings and deciding to keep it extra close just for S's & G's.

He's been trying to win all season.

Luckily we still control our own destiny in terms of the 5th spot in lottery with Orlando winning as well.

    phew!

He's been doing a bad job of it and probably hasn't had the tools to do a good job if he's capable of it but I believe that Chauncey has tried to win every game this season. That's why I am saying that even against a fucking badass team like Memphis, I want to see Shaedon shut down. The dude is getting so much better every game that we don't know when he might put it all together and we cannot afford another win. I think if Memphis has their full complement of players or close to it that Joe will take the gamble and wait until San Antonio to shut down Shaedon and he'll probably get away with it but I think it's irresponsible. I hope I'm wrong and Joe exercises caution but let's wait and see.

If we end up with a lower slot in the lotto than 5 that will be more infuriating than all of the losing has been because it will amplify how shitty the losing has been because it will then have been for much much less.

    This is a tank....

    This is a win.....

The 19.5-point favorite Minnesota Timberwolves have just suffered the worst recorded NBA ATS defeat since 1995, a catastrophic loss which has dropped them 2 losses behind 8 seed in West with 3 games to play. A scenario which could doom them to the sudden death play-in bracket.

    This is silly....

It's just logic. At this point keeping ourselves in the 5th lotto spot outweighs our need to see one or four more games from Shae. So anything we can do to insure we don't win any of these next four games is the logical thing to do.

We don't tank last year and we don't have Shae. I'm pretty fucking happy we tanked instead of trying to win meaningless games.

And you think the fifth lotto spot is going to make a huge difference, do you? This is the kind of logic that defies logic. The idea that Portland should lose games to make sure it stays in the fifth spot is just silly.
