Is Shaedon making it? He is 7th in total points among rookies. Only one player ahead of him shoots better from the field and only one player ahead of him shoots better from 3. None of them have less TOs than him. Only 1.0 turnover per game for our rookie in 22 mpg. The only thing working against him is that he plays in Portland and people don’t give a shit about us.
Based on what they did on the court for the year, he's maybe 2nd team. Had a really nice run at the end in garbage time, but some of these guys were putting up double-digits all season long. He could have a shot at most improved next year though.
Sharpe's rankings among rookies: minutes/gm - 12th points/gm - 9th reb/gm - 14th ast/gm - 17th FG% - 11th 3ptFG% - 11th FT% - 25th winshare/48 - 27th BPM - 25th
Yeah, but you can't judge rookies on how much PT they get. He has showed he's one of the best. No way we get him at 7 if they re-drafted
Sure, but the question isn't who wouyou or I might choose or what you think matters most it's who will make the 1st and 2nd teams. STOMP
Not making it. Shouldn’t make it. Also will be one of the if not the best player from this class. Probably while playing for Toronto if this summer goes as expected
From what we've all seen he may be the best player from this draft class. What else is the first and second team for? Just stats?
1st team: Banchero, Murray, Mathurin, Ivey, Kessler 2nd team: Williams, Smith, Eason, Duren... could easily be any one of several guys, including Sharpe. I think he probably gets the nod, but I wouldn't be upset if he didn't.
Who had the best year contributing to their team seems the way it's usually assigned. There were many productive rookies this year STOMP
I don’t think him not making either of those all league teams means he was snubbed. Just like if Dame doesn’t make the first 2. There are deserving rooks who played well the entire season.
Because Sharpe's best play was at the end of the year, and very sporadic during the season, i doubt he will make any of the list. But who care's. His future is bright. Put the work in this offseason, and the accolades will come.
I doubt there were very many rookies who played well the whole season. Maybe 5-7.....but 10? Much like how we overvalue our players, we also tend to overvalue other teams' players based on highlights. I bet if we dissected them on a nightly basis we would come away with a different opinion. Either way, I could care less.
