The idea is that the slightest of prodding from Dame pushes Olshey into shifting course and building around CJ because he doesn't actually believe the dropoff from Dame to CJ is that big.

If Nurk returns to being the Beast, i like the Blazers vs. any of those teams, including Warriors with a healthy Klay. The Blazers were 2 and 2 vs. the Warriors with a Healthy Klay & Durant before he got that hideous injury. If Nurk returns to that level, Look Out!

Wiggins was actually pretty good defensively last year showing the ability to guard a variety of players, so my opinion on him went up. That trade where the Warriors sent out Russell also returned this year's Minni 1st rounder which turned out to be #7 overall and Jonathan Kuminga. While he hasn't played in the league yet, I think the trade was very much lopsided in the W's favor.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
We'll see. Other big men have looked unimpressive in their rookie seasons before having excellent careers and Wiseman didn't get a training camp/summer league/preseason, so he had more reason than most to struggle in year one even if he does have talent (which, I realize, you think he doesn't).

Wiggins plus a good lottery pick for Russell is one of the best deals of the past few years. Wiggins in Golden State has been far, far better defensively than Russell, and has a decent offensive game. He also fit into the system there while Russell was a ball-stopper.

This doesn't seem like a @Rastapopoulos thread. Where are West France and West Spain?

That wasn't the question though. It was... which Western team that was worse then the Blazers last season do you envy? Or, not just next year, but who's future is brighter? For me anyways, contending is what matters & while they might be better today Portland currently isn't a contender and their roster is aging. The 3 you mentioned could be, GSW sooner then the rest. I miss having hope for my rooting interest. My main hope is this is Neil's last year at the helm.

I've had the same hope for 5 years now, and that is that Olshey has been fired and I just haven't heard about it yet

    :dammit:

I still maintain they're going to have to unload most of those picks, and teams will know that so their value will plummet.

At least, that's what I tell myself.

Hey, Phil Knight! When you buy the team, save a billion to pry Sam Presti away from Oklahoma. (Sidenote: why the fuck does he stay in OKLAHOMA?)

On another note, if you were a Clipper fan who would you rather have Paul George or SGA? (and the 1st round picks he came with) Easy answer for me. The Clips fucked up.
