A little late. Volpe's first career homer and Judge follows back to back. 2-0 Yankees.

Clay Holmes cannot be the closer moving forward.

I know "it's early" and I know we have 2 starters on the DL but does anyone really belive that as currently constructed, this is a championship calibre team?

Donaldson has no business being on the roster (see Oswald Peraza), neither does Hicks (see Jasson Domínguez) ...and I lost any confidence in Severino a long time ago.

...Hal (worst owner since his Dad took over) and Cashman(worst GM ever) and Boone (worst manager ever) are the fathers of all our problems.

I see the same homer reliant team who now needs to give someone else a chance to close. Holmes isn't fooling anyone and is getting hit every outing.

Yup, poor hitting approaches by multiple hitters who, for some reason, fancy themselves as HR hitters thought they are not. I've never had a problem with a batter looking for a first pitch fast ball up in the zone...but damnit, once the batter has 2 strikes on him, especially with RISP, cut down on your swing and concentrate on simply making contact. But noooooo, some of our guys still selfishly swing from their heels and try to pull an outside pitch and either strike out or roll over on it and hit a weak grounder and spoiling the scoring opportunity.

Donaldson, Hicks, and Torres are the worst offenders of this hitting approach.
