To me, no he didn't wrap fingers around, but he did wrap arms around. Unintentional or not. However it certainly looks to me that when Draymond initially lifts his foot up, Sabonis was not letting go and Draymond almost tripped right over him.

It's not the first Green has done something dirty in his career. But seems more he plays the worst he gets plus every chance he gets he also gets in referees faces to me he bad for the league. I question Dame tweet and what O'Neil had say I don't agree with there opinions.

They're both friends with Dray. So I take what they say when commenting on the obvious fact that Dray is one of the dirtiest players in the game, with a grain of salt.

It happened so fast there wasn't time to process all of that. As soon as he put his hands to his face Green's foot was coming up. Green's foot hooked Sabonis's elbow and lifted a bit, but as soon as there was pressure Sabonis' arm began moving back out.

Take a second and think about it. You have huge dudes stomping around your head. Are you going to be gently and carefully placing your fingers over your eyes? No way. You're trying to wrap your arms around your face hard, as a reflex. At least, I would. There is no way to go from that reaction to letting go in a split second. It take a longer to release the muscles.. But I understand the T, given the history. Prevent things from escelating.

However, Green's response was deliberate and extreme. He thought he was being attacked and struck out in defense. Ejection is no question. Possibly suspension. How is that different than a punch? It's really not...

Dame is my boy but he's wrong. There was intent based on action used on the leg that would make the balance argument wrong, but that takes way too long to type lol.

Dray has maybe one of the highest BBIQ’s in history of game but has terrible common sense when he gets in heat of moment. To me the whole thing is a little overblown

We shall have to agree to disagree on the bulk of this. I think both are to blame.

But you know what really needs to happen?
We need to stop rewarding initiators and blaming retaliators. Not you. Not me. everyone!

im so sick and tired of hearing how someones actions are dismissed but no one can retaliate or else. Why the hell do we, as a society allow such double standards?

that shit drives me nuts. If we aren't willing to blame someone for creating an issue, we should not blame those who have reactions to it. If we don't hold those accountable for their innitial behavior, then we shouldn't focus on the retaliatory behavior.
Lets start making people own up to their actions from step one, shall we?

considering this behavior is well accepted in this forum, i don't expect much in positive responses to this post. Lol.

Any truth to the rumor that @STOMP is changing his name to DRAYMOND?

Anyone defending Draymond is wrong. There's no further discussion on it.

Domantas shouldnt have wrapped his arms around Draymond's leg. Like I said, maybe he was just trying to protect himself from getting stepped on. Maybe he was trying to impede or get Draymond back. A lot of players having grabbing other players legs and that needs to stop. Maybe Domantas deserved a foul for doing that. I thought he was going to get one actually. Many on here have acknowledged that Domantas had old of his leg for one reason or the other.

But, what Draymond did was not ok, retaliation or not. You don't stomp on other players. That's an immediate disqualifying action. It was unnecessary. He could have just waited and pointed it out to the refs and look he's holding my leg and fouling me. Domantas would have gotten a foul then. H chose to stomp on Domantas. Uncalled for.

    100%.
The only counter i have to that is initiators seem to get away with stuff so often that those on the receiving end of an initiating issue likely often feel compelled to take matters into their own hands because the initiator is too often dismissed and let off.

Not excusing Draymond at all. But i know full well the feeling of being helpless and feeing like the only thing left is to take matters into ones own hands.
Its been noted how often this season grabbing has happened with no penalty. At a point people have had enough and retaliate.

You know how much shit Draymond gets away with? He sat on Domantas game 1 and nothing. Yet, now he is a victim because maybe Domantas intimated his own chest stomping? Draymond is no victim.

I get the feeling of needing to take matters into your own hands. Draymond though was not and is not helpless. Like I said above, he could have stood there and pointed out to the refs that Domantas had his leg. Domantas would have gotten a foul, probably a take foul. Taking matters into one's own hands most often just makes things worse. Draymond decided to stomp Domantas. The results were his own fault. Not Domantas's.

In the NBA we do see initiators get in trouble too. Double techs. Double fouls. We see it all the time.

When a player is continuously openly dirty. He brings on himself what he sows.

Dame just said that because he wants Draymond to come play with him in Portland next year.
