Unfortunately, ruins the shutout. Seems like the only way they were beating Igor tonight.

Exactly what they needed to do on the road in game one. Now the pressure is on NJ to respond in game two.

Only caught the last period but that was really good. 5-1 away is a terrific result but this is likely a long series.

NJ does have an experienced coach in Ruff so he’ll have them ready for Gm2.

Well, it wasn't pretty after the first period but they did a good job minimizing the 2nd chance opportunities and sold out a lot to block shots. Very happy with the win but they'll need to be better on Thursday.

Rangers win 5-1 and half the posts are knocking someone or something. The Rangers made a mistake, OMG they should be perfect. I have news for you, the Devils are a good team, I fully expect them to win next game, and I think this will be a 6 or 7 game series. Two good teams usually equals long series. Staying with Rangers in 6.

    What a great game!

Thought we were playin the penguins in Pitt with all the calls…

So impressed with this win, don’t know what to say.

I could pick out some negative stuff, but it didn’t hurt us so why bother.

both teams are great road teams, so pretty much favors the rangers ..

Yes, you have only been proven wrong for one game. Rangers are done and won't make the playoffs, Pens will finish ahead of them, Rangers are the Titanic, Devs in 5 - guess they are rolling 4 straight now huh.

But sure, you have been proven wrong for just one game. Funny sh*t.

Crazy stat was that the Devils were 0-4 on the PP with zero shots.

The Rangers are the superior team for playoff hockey, this team is more physical than last year's and they roll 4 strong lines. The defense did a great job clearing pucks from the front and engaging screening Debs. The officiating was awful, I expect the usual bevy of soft calls against the Rangers but missing several high sticking penalties on Miller, Trocheck and especially Igor is unacceptable. Players safety is never a concern when the player has a blue shirt on. Great start on a long trip, lots of Rangers fans in attendance exchanging cheers made the game that more enjoyable.
