I guess that is what 2 dominant road wins will do for you, and the stars look like stars. And we have maybe the best goalie in the NHL.

The Avs are struggling, Vegas is struggling, I guess I can see it. I think the Leafs are going to be a tough out. Right now I say NYR/Tor in the ECF.

Kreider being a maniac at the net is always a good thing this time of year. He didn't do it quite as much during this season as last year but doing it now is the main thing.

Another easy win, Kane hopefully has quieted down his haters. Garden should be rocking!

Well, it's good to see that it isn't that Kane is hurt. He got trashed on the FAN most of Wednesday. Looks like he heard it. I thought the Rangers would have a very tough time in this series. Two 5-1 wins on the road. You could have made a ton of money betting that.

Hopefully, 2 more wins and they can shove my pessimistic prediction up my ass. Rangers and Devils both look like completely different teams. Rangers for the better. I agree with Boomer in that I don't know why the Devils are so passive on the PK unit. It's not working.

I found it interesting if you look at the Kane goal, when that play was developing, Bratt and Marino completely quit on that play. That's not a good sign if you're a Devils fan.

Through two games it is clear the Devs were not ready for primetime playoff hockey yet. They are a young team, and have a lot of learning to do and experience to gain. Hopefully for the Rangers they don't find that playoff comfort until the future.

And BTW - this wasn't too difficult to see coming when you look at the lineups from top to bottom, the Rangers always should have been favored in this series. I thought 6 games, maybe it will be less, but only a fake fan who is negative, and has bailed on the team 25 times over, would think the Devs would roll in this series. Thankfully there aren't too many of those types of people around to troll message boards.

It seemed obvious to me that the Debs were too small to beat the Rangers and you can see the frustration on their tiny Debbie faces when they lash out with cheap shots but most of the armchair experts saw differently before the series started. The Debs are like AV's Rangers, fast and offensively talented but helpless against a physical team, adding Reaves would have made them dangerous. I have to laugh at the Debs not being aggressive on the PK critics when they can't catch the puck, as if Boomer's fat old ass could do differently. I'm hard pressed to remember a crisper passing, faster puck moving PP than the one we're lucky to watch. We'll see if anyone hops out of the lifeboats to stretch their legs on deck now that the series goes back to the Garden.

To be fair, most in here thought the Rangers would win this series. Only a small few didn't, and one had the Devs rolling, but he bailed 750 times already, so it doesn't really count. From a betting POV I said before game 1 thought it was crazy the Devs were favored, that made zero sense to me.

With that said we still need to win 2 more games. In a great spot, but this series is not over yet. Need to take care of business tomorrow night in game 3, and if we do then it will be just about over.

It’s called not being a homer like you are. You’ve been predicting Rangers wins every single series for the past 10 fucking years. I repeat one cup in over 82 years. Positive Rangers fans are more delusional than honest. I also don’t believe that you could see this coming crap for one second. The Devils had 112 points for a reason. Anybody who tells me they expected two wins like that on the road vs that team is completely full of shit.

I’m thrilled with the first two games but it’s a long way from over. If the Devils can win game three they’re gonna have a shit load of confidence. All of a sudden that’s the way playoff hockey works. I will say that keeping Tarasenko is looking like more and more a priority in the off-season. The salary cap is going to be very challenging for Drury.

Yeah, I was surprised he was able to walk in quite that easily. It looks like NJ is a little afraid of our firepower plus Shesterkin behind them. That said, the Rangers always have one game per series that they fuck up at the end so I'd guess the Devils may get one at the Garden and now play like they have nothing to lose.

Not everyone is a homer, a lot of people offer their fair assessment win or lose. You are always lose, we suck, Titanic, Pens will finish ahead of us, we'll miss the playoffs etc. It is a constant theme from a non Rangers fan like yourself. And if questioned you say oh 1 cup in 82 years. That is BS because this team has won A LOT of playoff series the past 10 years or so A LOT, and that is what we are talking about, not predicting winning a cup.

And I thought the series would be 1-1 and we'd win in 6. I didn't think the Rangers would get embarrassed and lose in 5 games - like some non-fan did.

Devils just don’t seem like they have the same energy the Rangers do. I predicted Rangers in 5 because Vancek sucks

There's no doubt the Rangers hold a massive advantage in net and the Rangers game plan in the first two games has kept Shesterkin from having to stand on his head.

I know dipshit Rangers fans like NYFAN that have had us winning every series and the cup every fucking year for the last 20 years. Most of them are arrogant, scumbag Yankees fans. They think their team will always win it all. Watching this team for almost 5 decades I expect the worst. When it doesn't happen I'm thrilled.

You correctly point out the futility of being a Rangers fan Dump and for decades we've argued and your position from the dark side has been strong. Since the last glorious Cup in '94 no playoffs or 1st round exit 23 times but last year things changed. GG spearheaded a change in team philosophy with grit and physicality replacing decades of finesse and failure immediately rewarding fans with a deep playoff run. Despite having his hands tied behind his back with cap space limits Drudini was able to make huge improvements at every position lost to free agency. Just as Tampa didn't win until they bulked up despite their regular season success, the Debs will come up short and bruised, even the refs can't help them.

This islanders team is full of d-bags. This is something the devils are missing. I feel like that scumbag islanders team would give the rangers more fits at least from physicality perspective.
