I think things have been good here since the ECF run in 2012. This team has won many playoff rounds since that year. Now are we sitting here going wild without winning a SC, hell no, but to act as if we haven't had a lot of fun exciting years the past 11 years or so I think is faulty, and also kind of sad as a fan. If you cannot enjoy these runs we have made, then why are you a fan. Is it just to win the SC otherwise you get no enjoyment - that seems a bit much. Again no parades or celebrations for long runs, but still a lot of fun moments for fans, and a lot of excitement. As someone who has been to a handful plus of playoff games at MSG during this time, that's how I feel.

As for the Isles, I am rooting for the Canes to win that series no doubt. Given the rivalry and how the Isles go through the roof to play the Rangers, I much rather play the beaten up Canes than the Isles if we get by NJ. I didn't want a Canes sweep, I'd like to see them get beaten up a bit more, but go Canes is what I say.

They would but still don’t see them beating Carolina in the series

Has there been one playoff series in the last decade where you could say to yourself the Rangers are a heavy underdog?
I said Rangers in 5 and put money on that because of the lack of experience the Debbie's have...there goalie is untested...if they continue to keep Hughes at bay the rest of the lineup is not that scary. The Rangers have more talent top to bottom.

Just hoping they win this series. Four or five would be a blessing.

Totally agree. Not just a remarkable run the last decade, they are in the midst of doing it twice after a rebuild in the middle. It was only 5 years ago they sent “the letter” out to fans saying they were tearing it down. At some point you need to win a cup but to be back again with a strong playoff team that has a good 2-3 year window is a good accomplishment too.

I think this team is built to win in playoffs more than previous ones even the ECF and Finals team. Mainly because we have guys that play their best in playoffs now. If Rick Nash was one of those guys we’d have at least 1 cup, maybe 2. Not many are built that way. Kane and Senko are. But time will tell.
