Schmid is replacing Vanecek. He is a big dude. The rangers typically don’t do well against big goalies from what I remember.
If the Rangers get the first goal and play smart like in game 2 then I don’t see the devils winning this game.
best thing Devils can do is stay out of the box but refs are hardly letting things go. That has been the main difference maker in the 2 games.
Stranglehold on series time. Step on their necks. Be desperate. Previous Rangers teams always find ways to lose series leads and make things hard on themselves with long draining 7 game series. But normally we are up 2-0 and playing on road. The garden is going to be electric tonight. They win tonight the Devils are done and are getting swept and they know it. Rangers have a rare opportunity tonight.
Pretty even first period. Rangers over passing a bit, and a little loose on the puck. A few times pucks rolled off their sticks, or bounced over their sticks, or they half fanned on passes. A little off in that period, but not bad. Need to raise their game a level though, and remember what got them here, getting pucks deep and shooting. That one play from the slot with the extra pass was terrible. Let's get back to the game we played in NJ. With that said, the Devs know their season is on the line tonight, so they are playing a better game as well. This game is their whole season. We need to match and raise.
