Except he's not on the first PP. Well that didn't last long.

They're making it easy on this goalie again. You're not going to get him with 35 foot prayers.

They need to go back to what the PP looked like before Kane. Having Z below the goal line is stupid as fuck. Put him where he can one time it and that will once again open up the middle for a shot from Fox from the point and a deflection. Or we can keep being retarded and keep trying to do the same thing the Devils have shut down the last 9 PPs

Overall a pretty even period. The Devs got nothing expect that one chance, which they scored on. We had a few medium level chances, but nothing great. Both teams playing tight D. We need to be more aggressive and I think play with a bit more passion. Seem to be a little flat. But again overall the period was even, and maybe slight edge us, but no real top chances either way except for their goal.

Also starting to worry this kid will be in their heads now, and we know his confidence is sky high. Plus give the Devs credit for playing a tight game and not allowing many chances.

    Interesting 2nd period coming up.

Not a bad period but an unfortunate sequence on the goal. Need to get some traffic on Schmid and create some bounces.

This is why the NHL playoffs are dangerous, and why so many series are close. Devs get some life from game 3, a game that went to OT and we could have won, and next thing you know the confidence is flowing, and the Devs are 2 periods away from an even series going home.

Credit Devs/we need to wake up a bit, but our stars just not much going on game 3 and 1st period tonight. Z hasn't done much in the series, Trocheck nothing, Kane great game 2 - nothing outside of that, Panarin up and down. Need to find our game, and get in front of this kid, and get some pucks upstairs.

Gotta think only a matter of time until they solve Schmid but my god is there a bigger Ranger kryptonite than a backup goalie nobody has ever heard of?

I'm not saying run him or take penalties but they have to end some sequences with some crease scrums.

Trocheck can’t even win a face off against Hughes. What a joke.

NJ is all up in the crease and on top of Igor…Rangers are playing from the outside and refusing to get dirty goals. They are getting too cute again. Playoff hockey is about dirty goals.

Started doing a little bit of what they need to do. Need shots that offer rebounds and second chances. Just shooting chest high shots from the line isn't going to work.

0 for 8 at home on the PP is a killer.
