For the longest time these guys have made it a habit of no showing playoff games, I know I was out a few, and never being able to score in the playoffs. Different players, different coaches, always hard, never playing with a cushion. Too top heavy.

Breaking news: Panarin actually tried shooting at the net.

True but it’s not even being down 3-2 that is the issue this team is dead. Maybe they show life G6 at home but the way they have played these 3 games they 100% deserve to lose series.

The effort tonight has been questionable for sure, maybe in game 4 too, but I don't know that you can pin this that much on Gallant. The players need to step up and make it happen.

I'm not predicting anything but maybe this is rock bottom and we get a fired up group with backs against the wall in game six.

When a player like Kane falls into your lap, you don't say no I'm good thanks. You had to make the move, but he was a mess and added very little. But with that said, he is far from alone, and others were certainly worse. A bunch of guys should stand in line for blame here, it doesn't start with Kane. He just didn't add anything to the team to take it to another level. I did write many times the past few weeks, I haven't liked his attitude at all since he got here. Maybe he is hurt, but his attitude has been all wrong for a player at his level, that the Rangers moved heaven and earth to afford.

If they lose to n lifeless fashion at the Garden in G6 to lose 4 straight after being up 2-0 then Gallant is 100% gone.

Remember the game 7 effort at home in 2015? Even a team you think has some does this.

Are you new to sports...lol. Coaches get fired all the time, fair or unfair. Cannot trade all the players, but can fire the coach.

If they go out in similar fashion at home with no effort then Gallant will not be back.

Yeah, cant argue there that it would be more than likely then. I can see Drury giving him one more chance either way. I think the team as a whole is just frustrated(obviously) and it's showing up in their play, more than a general lack of effort.

Not sure I am following - yeah they have also won a lot of playoff games, and had good runs the past 11 years. Won't take that away from them, and the fun games we have seen. But there is very much a disproportion of no shows, scoring 1 goal, always having to grind out 7 game series wins. On and on. Way too often IMO.

Rangers don't seem to have the ability to control play or maintain possession outside of the power play. Devils are a faster team, more hard working.

Yup, some great wins and great moments but far too many stinkers. No continuity.

Look - you want to talk effort, and passion, and urgency, and fire - the Rangers, supposedly loaded with studs, have scored TWO goals in the past 9 + periods - TWO. That should end any talk of anything else. That is disgraceful, and I don't think you can use any other word. And sorry, but the coach deserves blame also - tweaks, move Z on the PP, change up lines? Come on.

    That is an embarrassment.
