    Here's a summary of Wembanyama's missed games:
    • On December 12, 2020, Wembanyma suffered a stress fracture in his fibula during an Espoirs game, missing over 2 months.
    • Wembanyama was unable to play for one month at the start of the 2021-22 season because of an undisclosed illness.
    • On November 10, 2021, ASVEL announced that Wembanyama would miss two to three weeks with a fractured finger.
    • On December 2, 2021, Wembanyama was sidelined after suffering a bone bruise in his right shoulder against Zenit Saint Petersburg, with an estimated recovery time of five weeks.
    • On June 3, 2022, Wembanyama was ruled out for the remainder of the season with a psoas muscle injury he sustained during a Pro A semifinal game against JDA Dijon.
All I ask is to be given the chance to make that call on whether or not to draft Wembanyama.

I don't consider Yao a good comparison since he weighed 311 lbs. That is too much weight for anyone's feet.
Shawn Bradley's list weight was 275 (Which surprised the hell out of me)
Bol ... as you alluded to, looked frail

Victor might be able to stay away from career-ending injuries in his 20s if he does not bulk up too quickly. His agent is adamant that he does not ....for good reason. He now weighs 220 (Supposively) I would top him off at 230 until he is older.

I don't think he is like any of those guys. He's more like KD but just further stretched out. None of those guys moved like this kid moves. So fluid and so much quicker/faster than any of them. I'm not guaranteeing that injuries won't be a problem I just doubt that they are.

I think Wemby's nickname should be Monsieur Fantastique.

The interesting thing though is that Yao was the only one that averaged near 30 minutes per game, which is what I would expect out of Wemby.

Also I was curious so I looked it up:

Bradley was 245 at the draft.

Yao was 296 at the draft.

As long as he doesn't have feet problems, his body shouldn't be a problem. Most of those injuries could happen to smaller players as well. Plus a lot has to do with his body maturing, and his ability to play nicked up. Toughness is one of the best attributes of an athlete. Mentally & physically.

Also, fans in here talk about getting a haul in return for a player. What kind of realistic "HAUL" could the Blazers get for the rights to draft Wemby if it happens. I mean, if you could get a bonafied allstar, supporting player, and picks in return, would you do it? I mean maybe there's a team that decides to start over, and is willing to take a chance on him actually being that generarational player. Still no guarantee of future success. I don't think the Bucks are ready to do something like that, and i don't know if i trust Embiid to stay healthy . But would Bam, Jimmy Butler, and multiple 1st be enticing, if Miami wanted to do that?

Yes absolutely you make that trade, but we would have to send out matching contracts at around 67 million

Blazers would send out Ant, Nurk, Nas, and Reddish to make deal work. Worked on Fanspo

Bam, Grant, Butler, Sharpe, and Dame is pretty awesome. Then you bring in a sharpshooter like Seth Curry to enhance the bench.

I don't think Reddish can be included.

Yeah, that's a mind blowing offer. So you'd take it but I don't see that offer coming in, so I think we'd most likely take Wemby if we win the lotto. Then we would concentrate on moving pick 23 and future firsts along with the salary needed to bring in an all star forward or center to round out the starting lineup. Then use the TPMLE and possibly the big TPE to round out the bench.

from my view, the closest physical comparison I can come up with for Wemby is Ralph Sampson. Same height and body type. Sampson started his career with 3 straight healthy seasons, then the injuries started piling up. His career was essentially over at 28, but that was only his 6th season in the NBA.

How many teams will Wemby work out for? 1 at most solo.
Will he play summer league? he should

Kareem is a pretty close comparison in size. (Listed weight at 7'2 225) and he played over 1500 games until he was 42.
Maybe smoking lots of weed is the answer. Again....Portland is perfect for Victor.
