Thybulle could only be used in a trade around the deadline because he has to be re-signed... I don't think a role player like him has any value in a S&T situation. I do agree that if it's at the vets min and the coaching staff and players would be cool with it that Brooks would be a good pick up. I imagine that is the sentiment around most of the league, I think what might stop that from happening is him being able to get a lot more in Japan or wherever else. Like you said there is a ton of uncertainty with our team right now so it's wait and see on everything.
I'm just going to say this straight out: If you support adding Draymond, you should not have any problem adding Brooks. They're cut from the same cloth.
Oh no they are not. One of them is a smart winning player at the highest levels whose emotions often (too often?) get the better of him. The other is an idiot.
I would disagree. Sheed is a guy who had an issue with his emotions getting the best of him. Draymond intentionally tries to hurt people. Sheed never would have done that. Draymond getting suspended for games 100% falls into the "idiot" category.
I will add that if Brooks wasn't a mediocre player, people wouldn't have an issue with his antics. The problem is that he IS a mediocre player.
I do not believe that one bit. I think he (Draymond) got really heated up when his leg was caught and his emotions took over, stupid to do that, but I have seen him trying to wrap people and ensure they do not fall when he fouls them as well. Brooks on the other hand... I would also say that while Sheed had issues with his emotions, I do not think he ever cared as much as Draymond does, which is probably why when his emotions did get away from him it was mostly verbal stupidity that he did. But, some people believe Draymond is a dirty player and they are entitled to this opinion. I do not share it. I think he is a smart player that is really very deeply emotionally invested in the games and sometimes goes way over the line when it gets the best of him. His punishments are absolutely deserved when he crosses these lines, but I do not think he is dirty first and foremost, where Brooks is, imho.
The Rockets have an obvious plan for anyone paying attention. Why would they hire a head coach with so much baggage? Udoka won in Boston with a veteran roster. The Rockets are a bunch of kids. It makes no sense. Unless, they’re cooking up something big. (After the intro, skip ahead to 3:10 to bypass the ad.) But why? Are they rushing it? Why not just keep sucking to get really high draft picks? Because, they actually can’t build through the draft. Back in 2019, they made one of the dumbest trades of all time. The Rockets dealt Chris Paul and picks to get Russell Westbrook. That means they still owe control of the next three drafts to OKC. Those picks are top 4 protected. But they could easily lose a bunch of games, but then fall out of the top 4. And all of that was for nothing. Why not just try to win now?
