<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (MaroonNGold @ Mar 9 2006, 12:46 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Insaine.Wonder if the Raiders can do the same </div>The main area where we had saved so much money was in the creative deals we signed Law and Fiedler to, which allowed us to cut them after one year with a minimal cap hit and in the restructureing of deals so that their big roster bonuses would be spread out over several years, however in turn it makes those players almost impossible to cut.So we basically guaranteed that Coles, Ellis, and Kendall would be around for the next 3 years or so in return for some cap major cap relief now (Which really isnt bad because they would have been here anyway). The Raiders cap situation is most likely very different though because of the overpaid contracts that key players got, the age of their roster (which prevents certain contracts from being restructured unless you want 10 mill in dead money once they retire), and several other factors. Although if I had a list of their exact contract details I would most likely be able to find a way for them to get under the cap.

My thoughts is that were going to look to someone like LT Brad Hopkins from Tennessee for the Starting LT role (Move Adrian Jones to RT), then draft our QB of the future in the first round. Then I think were gonna stick with the trio at HB for one more year and draft one next year.
