What are you hoping for with this pick?

  1. Draft Scoot and keep him

    27.6%
  2. Draft Miller and keep him

    28.6%
  3. Draft someone else at 3 and keep him (please specify)

    3.1%
  4. Trade down, but still draft in the lottery

    10.2%
  5. Trade the pick for a starting forward

    30.6%

I thought you wanted to trade out of the draft for a legit all star wing?

Saw on hoopshype that the Nets aren’t interested in dealing Bridges to Portland

Makes sense, unlike a lot of the trade proposals around here.

Unfortunately he was gone even if we didn't trade him.

This is the problem: is there anyone available out there who is worth the 3rd pick?
    From the Athletic:
"If the Blazers do want to trade the pick, there’s also another dilemma. As more than one team executive put it: Who out there is worth trading the No. 3 pick for? Dealing the No. 3 pick would necessitate getting a player good enough to be worth that kind of high selection. It’s hard to say, as of now, if a player that good could be available. Executives struggled to think of someone who is both that good and possibly available to be had at the moment.

That doesn’t mean things can’t change as teams get deeper into the offseason and, inevitably, the league finds itself in more chaos."

Doesn’t matter what I’d do. It takes another team to agree to do that and if they don’t want what we offer then you ptobably keep the pick but yeah. Generally I see the draft as a crap shoot

Then comes the age old debate because the draft is how us small market teams even get superstars (dame, giannis, jokic) so can we even afford to NOT draft? It's a weird place for us small market folk.

If you could get Orlando to trade 6, 11 and either Wagner or Carter for 3 and Ant that would be fantastic. Then flip 6 and 11 for something like OG or Siakam I think that would be a nice upgrade

    Dame
    Sharpe
    Grant
    Siakam
    Carter

    That’s a nice team

Trading two lottery picks for any of those seems like a huge overpay, but I'm an idiot

Since you've been adamant the Blazers are trading the pick, doesn't one of the elite frontcourt veterans have to be attainable for that to happen?

I can't imagine the Blazers will trade the #3 pick for DeRozen or such. Ayton would possibly be even worse.

Seems like a very Olshey move, not a contender and no young upside.

I'd just pick BPA and keep Ant. Not much different today but way better future.

I’m not sure ORL would want Ant. They would presumably take Scoot and already have Suggs, Fultz, and Anthony. Ant just adds to their logjam at guard.

Pulling together enough to trade for #6, #11, and Wagner would net us a huge return that works for either timelines though. That’s one of the scenarios I would love to happen. Wagner is only going into year 3 so he fits with Sharpe but also good enough that he starts at SF for Dame.

I wouldn’t want to trade #6 and #11 though. Maybe #11, but not both. The majority of mocks, I see Walker going to DET. It only takes an impressive workout to get HOU to gamble on Whitmore, Black, maybe even Hendricks. Amen could be there at #6.

I guess you could try to find a good return for Ant + #11 or #23. We need a big man, but good defensive big men are hard to find at a cost-friendly price. It’s like you also have to draft them. That’s why I might just run it back with Dame, Ant, Sharpe, Amen, and Mays, and also draft Lively to be a third string C.

Miller getting bad reviews in combine. Looking at the playoffs watching Bridges i am not that convinced he's worth giving up the farm.

OG/Pascal should not be under any consideration. Zero. None.

They are pending FA. Pascal is 30. OG is a very good role player, a non all-star.

A hypothetical handshake deal is dumb. Not with a
    pick this high.
