Yes, I had a similar conversation with a co-worker yesterday. He was upset with what they did with Nathan Shelley's character.
Shows don't always have to say anything to be entertaining. I have yet to see the finale' but so far I think this season was the best.
It is a unique show IMO.

Sounds like a no-name sourpuss craving clicks.

Oh, just to be clear, I meant Valerie, not you. ;)

I'll stand by the fact that the first season of Ted Lasso was legitimately transcendent and unique. I watched it from the start, long before it had garnered widespread hype, and was admittedly blown away with its tenor and approach, its ability to be heartwarming without ever crossing over into the maudlin. I tried to talk everybody, even random strangers, into checking it out.

In my humble opinion, if you took the "overwhelmingly transcendent" expectations into season 2, you were likely disappointed. It was still an entertaining and easy watch in my opinion, but it didn't feel quite as groundbreaking. I've approached season 3 with lower expectations in terms of novelty and once again, I am again really pleasantly surprised. Solid writing, acting, and storyline. Still only halfway through season 3, but I am always looking forward to the next episode.

Certainly, Ted Lasso is in contention for best sports series ever, and I'd argue strongly that there has never been a better season of sports television than Ted Lasso season 1.

"Sometimes the truth can ruin a perfectly good story." - Rebecca Welton, when told by Coach Lasso that his mother's stories about him were mostly fiction.

Sly.... I'm disappointed that you didn't pick up on that when that episode came out!

I didn't know that it was full word for word, but any time someone says " talkin about practice" I immediately think of AI

True. Maybe it’s the fact that it set a world record for most F bombs.

No show that ends on such a stupid, implausible, tangent of a last season can ever be called great, let alone 'greatest.'

    Sorry.
