    Vogel is a solid pick better then Doc Rivers that is for sure who I believe was a finalist for that job. If I were to grade the hire I think I would give it a B to B plus but we shall see how it pans out for the Suns.

    he sure won't be paid as much

    Phoenix management & ownership really fucked up and misread the situation. They spent 10 years in the lottery and finally made the playoffs and made it all the way to the finals. But they made it there with a 36 year old PG, Jae Crowder, and a C making 10M on his rookie deal

    after, they didn't really add any solid alternative for that aging PG, they were semi-forced to match a ridiculous offer sheet for that C, and they just shut Crowder down....then they went all in by trading away their wing defense and versatility in Bridges/Johnson for the flickering mirage of the power-of-Durant

    what if instead of matching Ayton's offer sheet they had worked out a S&T for Myles Turner? What if they would have done that and then made sure Bridges was more featured in the offense and not have made the Durant trade?

    like most teams, their coach became the scapegoat for poor management decisions (the way the Suns bowed out of the playoffs in elimination games the last 2 seasons didn't help Monty though)

    I just don't understand how somebody like David Vanterpool is not getting looks. He told me he left Orlando a few years ago with their head coaching job and they changed their mind that night. Just don't get the recycled coach situation.
