To be fair, I don't think Orlando would have been interested either. Generally fair value, but the Magic were pivoting younger at that point.

McCollum is just playing hard for a new contract extension. So what if the Pelicans improved after the Cronin trade? New Orleans has yet to get the really bad CJ that needed to be dumped immediately to improve the Blazers long term goals.

I think what everyone is trying to say, is you got some weird issues with people on a forum. You start this talk about blocking people like we all care. It's a running theme with you here, getting into it with many different posters over and over and you think it's everyone else but you....when its the other way around...i

t's getting old now and quite frankly I would love if this forum capped how many times you can poster here a day, you stick your head in every single thread here and make it about you.

Never thought the "loud and I don't care what other people think" was the win some people seemed to think it was, either. In fact, most people I know that say that actually are trying to mask a lack-of-confidence issue. If you really don't care what people think, you don't even think about it, let alone put out a big neon sign to tell them you don't.

it wasn't much of a pivot though. They traded Gordon for Gary Harris, who was a year older than Gordon (still is a year older...imagine that!), and only 2 years younger than CJ

but Orlando did get a 1st out of the deal, and they would have almost certainly recognized that CJ was significantly overpaid

Right. They also got RJ Hampton who now seems like a throw in, but at the time was considered moderately intriguing at the very least. At that point, they weren't trading for Harris as an asset at all. Harris had kind of fell apart in Denver at that point.

Regardless of his value being low currently, his salary will always be high. If we had some big expiring contract and could actually buy low on him, that'd be one thing, but I still think Simons has good value around the league, and he'd almost have to be included to match salary, which then makes it not really buying low, IMO.

I don’t come on here to talk about me. I come on here to talk about the blazers. But you and bender and that other person seemed to be fixated on making it about me the poster and not the content of my post. You’re still doing it.

I don’t care what you think about me. I’m not going to change me. I am who I am.

I have said it repeatedly. If I bother you, put me on ignore. I’m not going to miss you.

Ah one of the guys who has been on my list for a while. Definitely haven’t missed you. Any time I foolishly click on the show post button it’s you insulting me.

so let me get this straight…

Me: posts opinion about the blazers

Other person: posts insulting comment about me because they disagree with me.

Me: tells them to put me on ignore if I bother them.

You: stop making everything about you!

Im not the one who insults people. I’m not the one who pulls it back out of the topic and calls someone infantile because I don’t agree with them about a sports team. The fact that you think it’s my fault that other people resort to personal insults tells me everything I need to know about you as a person.

okay bullshit. Enoughs enough man. No one is attacking Nate the person. Many are annoyed by Nate the poster. Most like most of your posts. I know i do. But you can not get it through your head that most are tired of reading the same thing from you over and over anytime someone posts a differing opinion. Why must you feel the need to quote and post everything in every thread you don't agree with on this?

The fact that you wont give any thought to how you are coming off does speak volumes though…

You'd have to feel really good about the chances that Ayton would perform more to his contract in Portland, that his inconsistency and sometimes downright disappointing play with the Suns was more about poor fit than Ayton himself. That's a big gamble. Of course, if it hits ....

I can go back and quote some things if you’d like. Have you ever seen me resort to name calling first? Have you ever seen me get frustrated with a debate and then start attacking the other poster?

Ad hominem attacks are bullshit and it shows weakness. An inability to actually debate a topic.

Two threads about Dame and what he wants. So yeah….. I’m going to use the only public words from Dame talking about what he wants.

mid you get mikal on his contract then getting ayton shouldn’t hurt as bad. You can actually shed salary trading simons for mikal.

trade Nurk+first round picks+any role players they may be interested in/salary filler.

that type of trade is possible for him right now

I think Ayton is a bad fit there snd could use new scenery. I think he would be an upgrade. If we could get him for nurk/little and picks and then flip Ant for OG i think that pleases Dame and we keep our #3.

Not sire if the money works but i would be intrigued by this:

    Dame/#3(Scoot)
    Sharpe/Redish/Thybulle
    OG/Thybulle/Watford
    Grant/Watford/MLE
    Ayton/Eubanks/MLE

Am i talking out of my ass or is this completely unrealistic?

    I thought you didn't care?

Is there any room for you to move on from the topic and let others have their opinion of Dames intentions without you trying to smother theirs with yours? Thats all most are asking for man. Its your refusal to compromise on that that is bringing on the harshness.
Im gonna stop beating the dead horse now.

Dame said the other day he plans on being a Blazer next year. He also said if we keep this pick he will need to have another conversation. We all know what you think these things mean and i thinks you know what some others think it means. Its all opinion based. No facts.
So Lets talk Blazers and respect differing opinion regardless of whether we think the foundation is shakey or not. Shall we?
