<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Eagles added a starting wide receiver last night when they agreed to a one-year deal with unrestricted free agent WR Jabar Gaffney, who started 50 of 64 games during his four seasons with the Houston Texans. Details of the deal were not immediately available. It remains to be seen if he will move into the starting lineup with the Eagles, who also have receivers WR Reggie Brown, WR Todd Pinkston, WR Greg Lewis, WR Billy McMullen and WR Darnerien McCants on the roster.http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/sports/14108715.htm</div>

Why don't the Eagles try to sign a player with a big name, they're gonna need someone to catch with Reggie Brown next year cuz I got news for you, Greg Lewis and McMullen suck... they should have at least tried to get Javon Walker cuz he's prolly gonna be available

I dunno, Eagles are gonna be fine because they will have Todd Pinkington back because hes been big for their offense & Reggie Brown is starting to get better. Eagles will be good with Dmac back, their a much better team w/o TO just like the last couple years when they owned the NFC East

It's no coincidence that the year he joined was the year that they finally got to the Superbowl

I dont know what the Eagles are thinking....Reggie Brown, Greg Lewis, and Todd Pinkston isnt going to be good enough to get it done that they can make this signing in Gaffney. I think they need to bring in someone who is capable of starting. [IMG]

Gaffney wasn't to bad on a bad Houston team. I don't mind the signing at all. It would be great if we could get someone else as well.Oh and the Eagles got to the Superbowl without TO's help in the playoffs.

The Texans have now lost a few WR's aye? They are looking pretty slim there. Did they sign a FA WR that i missed?Eagles need all the Wide Reciever help they can get...not sure this helps greatly though.

I'm saying he brought something to that team that nobody had seen for a long time, he helped get them over the hump

He's just gonna be a backup, or slot receiver. They have no "great" WRs right now... they need to sign a bigger name. PS: Pinkston is soft.

They will be fine, its the exactly same team like few years ago except McNabb will give everyone the ball instead 1 guy when it was TO. He should do good because he will be 100 percent and he make everyone look good but dont forget the Eagles still have one hell of a D' still.

^ How do you know he'll be 100% though? And I think they still need more... look at the division they are in. Everyone else in their division are looking to be in the deep playoff hunt.

Yeah, true but look at last year, Minnesota signed some big-time people in Free Agency and wern't that good in the beginning of the season, you need to have team chemistry if you wanna do good, who knows, maybe there will be some players that went to a certain team that doesn't fit their system, you never know man. And about McNabb, i hear he's doing fine, he should be in better shape before training camp.
