How important is it to Sharpe's success to have him around Dame for 2-3 more years?

How important to Sharpe's development is Dame?

  1. Extremely important - critical to his development as a star

Ruben's friend was 100% like those Randolph entourage types. But to be clear, I was around Zach Randolph and I don't remember him ever bringing anyone to the practice facility. There really wasn't a ton of outsiders at the PF, but it also wasn't uncommon, if that makes sense.

But Neil really did change things. Maybe not for the better.

No I poorly wrote the last post. This was about this past season and whomever wrote the blurb I semi remember said they were young thug like people brought in my this young player. I compared them to Zach's old crew as a visual reference. It might have been from twitter, and since nobody else seems to remember it, it was probably all b.s.

Thanks for hanging in there on me. Old memory of mind gets in the way sometimes.

I don't see how it's much of an impact. Dame is a great guy, but it's not like he's got a massive track record of team success... so it's hard for me to say that even if Sharpe picks up stuff from Dame (in spite of being much older and playing a different position) I'm not convinced it will automatically be a fantastic thing.

I'm not saying that to be mean... I just don't know.

Dame's leadership and affect on guys like Ant and Sharpe is underrated. Shae has the potential to be very very good. Having Dame mentor him is invaluable. Imagine Sharpe with Ja as his role model

I think Dame can teach him how to be a pro and work like a pro. I think that people that think that Dame's skill set or lack of a defensive skill set will wear off on a guy who has a completely different tool box than him, is dumb. Shae doesn't need to do what Dame does in workouts he just needs to learn about working out with intention and expanding your game. Also he can learn how to take care of his body and carry himself like a professional on and off the court.

That being said, there are other good professionals out there, Chauncey was a great professional that really maximized his potential. So if Dame were to leave I don't think it would significantly hurt Shaedon's chances at becoming an All NBA level shooting guard.

I know that we are at a crossroads and trying to make it work with Scoot and Dame is tough… I would really love to see Dame mentor Scoot and Shae.
