#3 — Brandon Miller #23 — Jamie Jaquez Jr. Assume that there will be no trades. Simply call the picks. Go!
The 1st pick will be traded for a haul. Veteran top talent, & picks. # 23 will be traded for a very good starter as well. Pick used will bring Blake Lively to town.
the draft isn't the only time there are trades in the NBA. Portland could stand pat on draft day and still make big trade later. I don't see the nightmare in Portland not making trades Thursday that you do. The season doesn't start for 4 months; and the trade deadline is 8 months from now
Just NBA history. When teams draft someone and have that press conference the next day, they rarely move that same someone during that off season and the few times I can think of it happening, there was solid reporting that it was going to happen (see Wiggins for Love). As far as the trade deadline goes for me it would be a nightmare if we went that long carrying Ant and the two guys we drafted at 3 and 23... just starting the season with Ant and Dame on the roster together is gross to me. How many games of Dame's prime do we want to waste and how many does he want to waste. I get it that people are reporting without sources that Dame is on board with whatever at this point but how many times can Joe kick the can and Dame still believe that Joe will do what it takes for Dame to get a legit shot at winning big?
I agree to some extent....I think Simons needs to be moved. I'm just not sure the best way to accomplish that is attaching him to a pick, or vise-versa I mean for chrissakes, there have already been several posts today from Ant fans talking about how great he is; how Portland should trade dame and build around Ant; how Ant will be better than Dame next season so I'd be worried about diluting Ant's trade value by attaching a 3rd pick to him (yeah, imagine green font)
