Larry Bird averaged 31 points, 21 rebounds, and 4 assists his senior year in high school and received a basketball scholarship to play at Indiana University under Bobby Knight.

Ervin Johnson was first dubbed "Magic" as a 15-year-old sophomore playing for Everett High School, when he recorded a triple-double of 36 points, 18 rebounds, and 16 assists.
In his final high school season, Johnson led Everett High to a 27–1 win–loss record while averaging 28.8 points and 16.8 rebounds per game, and took his team to an overtime victory in the state championship game.
Although Johnson was recruited by several top-ranked colleges such as Indiana and UCLA, he ultimately decided to attend Michigan State when coach Jud Heathcote told him he could play the point guard position.

Bird may have had an offer from Indiana, but he played at Indiana State

Bird actually attended IU, but hated it. Caught a ride home thinking he was done. Rest is history.

How many people followed Josh Jackson in college? Miller seems like a away better shooter but there are similarities there.

Not even close… Jackson’s biggest weakness was he couldn’t shoot.

Wouldn't be surprised. Don't see how CHA passes up on Scoot, but then, #OwnerJordan.

Then again, Miller fits what this team needs so much better than Scoot. Length, defense, shooting....it would seem like a perfect pick for the Blazers. And so far, the trade offers aren't blowing Mrs HCP's skirt up.

    Jordan is selling his ownership.

The drama for this draft is killing me, lol.

He is selling it, but is in charge until July 1. He will oversee the Draft.

Fun fact: If Ant is traded and we drafted and kept Miller, he would immediately become our 2nd best FT shooter (85.9%)

    FT rate (fta/fga): Ant .171....Miller .329

    FTA/100-possessions: Ant 4.0....Miller 7.8

I actually believe drawing fouls and getting to the line is an extremely important skill for NBA players. And from what I've seen, if players arrive in the NBA without that skill, they rarely develop it. That doesn't necessarily mean Miller has that skill. Drawing shooting fouls against colleg players isn't the same as against NBA players. But at least Miller's numbers are a little encouraging

I am going to say this about Miller and I think this is why there is a legit debate between Scoot or him cause right now Scoot has a brighter upside BUT I think Miller does have a chance to be a stud like a Durant / George lite type player someone who can take over a game but I also think Miller has the biggest bust factor compared to Scoot too. I do not envy the Hornets front office cause this decision will shape that team's future for the next 5 years easy and the wrong choice will set them back they are kind of in the same situation as the Blazers only without the whole Dame thing .

    Not really, no.

He did exist as a prospect a few years ago and his name was Luka Doncic. I was pretty big on him, myself, and literally compared taking Bagley over him as this generation's Thompson over Bird (good job, Blazers).

Miller is not Bird. If Larry Bird existed today and played in college, his numbers would likely resemble Kevin Durant's college numbers. In fact, Luka already achieved something similar, in terms of absurd numbers. For reference, in the European leagues, Luka put up a higher PIR (Euro version of PER) than Jokic, Porzingis, Dragic, Domantas. He was surefire from Day 1.

Essentially, I would recognize Larry Bird, right away.

I think Miller would fit nicely with Dame. But we would need to pull off some kind of blockbuster on top of it.

Would Miller be so bad to draft? Miller and Sharpe could be our Brown and Tatum duo like Boston has.
