If you are keeping Nurk, whether because you couldn't trade him for a decent return or as part of a bigger trade, acquiring Lively would be smart with a potential lottery pick acquired in a trade of #3. About the only chance to have that access.
Here is a thought number 23 and our second rounder and Ant for Orlando's pick. They could use a shooting guard and have a lot of cap space
Well in most draft order predictions I have seen which is at least 6 different polls with street cred have him going in the 10 and above range.
Supposedly Houston is trying to package #20 and other stuff to get up to Dallas' 10 with eyes on a Scoot package... I'm not the biggest Amen fan, but if we could get he and Lively +..... It'd make me seriously consider pushing the reset button.
I would do a LOT to get Dereck Lively, but I just don't know how we swing it, particularly if we're keeping #3.
This draft reminds me very much like the LMA and Broy draft year with its possibilities. I hope the powers to be in Blazer Kingdom try to think outside the box.
I could only imagine Dame's face if we brought in two 19 year olds to help him instead of one. Guy might use that boxing training for once.
Well if he decides the grass is greener somewhere else we use his trade value to complete the rebuild with players and draft picks so this team has a future.
My guess is that Dereck Lively II goes in the 11-16 range. * PER: 22.6 * 4.2 blocks per game (per36) * 9.5 rebounds per game (per36) - #4 NCAA Blk% Leader (16.3%) - #6 NCAA eDiff (difference between offensive and defensive ratings) Leader (+44.1) - #10 NCAA Blocks Per Game Leader - #16 NCAA Off. Rating Leader (133.9) - #48 NCAA Def. Rating Leader (91.1) One thing I find interesting with his advanced stats is his Offensive Rating of 133.9. Although he only averaged 5.2 points per game, his presence on the floor made a huge impact on the team's offense. I'd love to see the Blazers somehow pickup Lively in the draft. He's definitely not worth the #3 pick, and most likely won't be there when the Blazers pick at #23. Let's see what Cronin can do...
Phenomenal on the defensive end, but horsecrap offensively. Not for me, thanks. Moot anyway as he will go top 15 I think.
Nobody wants him. Everyone wants 3-point shooters/ballhandlers/playmakers. He will fall to early 20's, THAT'S WHY WE TRADED JOSH HART.
