Except Miller can pass, handle the ball, and create his own shot. No real comparison other than being tall shooters.

Actually, mediocre would be a great first season. What I wonder is what DeRozen would look like on our team. He has never not been the #1 option top scorer on his team, has he? Did he overlap with Bosh? I also think getting him stalls Sharpe’s development. So I’m not sure.

He has earned starting minutes by becoming good enough to be the 3rd pick. Dame started from Day 1 as the 6th pick.

I disagree Eric...he hasn't earned anything in the NBA yet and we have a starting point guard now unlike Dame's rookie season. We need a bench..he can play big minutes, just staggered...I think it'd be a great addition...if he earns it as a six man, he'll get a starting role. Scoot would dominate most bench pt guards and that's how you keep and build a lead when Dame sits...and Dame will sit more if the kid is that good right away. Evan Turner was a number 3 pick I believe as well. Cody Zeller was number 4...both became role players. Few rookies turn out to be Damian Lillard.

Miller's game facing top 50 defenses in the NCAA fell off a cliff not to mention his putrid tournament performance.

Few things are universal in this world. One is Michael Jordan taking the wrong guy with his pick.

I go with Amen all day. He's one of the most exciting prospects I have watched on film. I watched Scottie Pippen develop. I think Amen will develop a shot and when he does so he will be a top dynamic player in the league and a top tier star. His elite first step, finishing, leaping, and passing combination are exceedingly rare. Perfect complements to team basketball. People will be laughing this was ever a question.

This team has not had a playmaker with the court vision of Amen for some time...I'd love to see him and Sharpe together.

His lack of shooting isn't a major concern to you given how much you value guys who are productive on both ends of the floor?

No more than a guy like Jimmy Butler. If you can dribble, pass, finish and defend while bringing a little swagger, I'm all for it. If he improved his three-point shooting...Off the charts.

In the NBA, it becomes much much harder to pass/dribble anywhere when you can't shoot.

Agreed if he was a good 3pt shooter, he'd be off the charts; easily the #2 pick

Stein mentioned the blazers and rockets as teams the clippers have talked to about George. It’s heating up

Woj, B/R, SI. Yeah, it seems like Scoot will be on the board when we're on the clock. I hope Cronin gets everything he possibly can out of it. I want Zion but what I'd like even more is a surprise I haven't thought of that makes us better and isn't as much of a gamble but I don't know if we can get the upside of Zion without the big risk.

We're trading the pick for Jaylen Brown.

I think they should add Herb Jones as insurance against Zion not being able to stay healthy...it's us who's taking the risk but the Hornets media said Scoot wants to play in New Orleans. No way you pass on Zion for the 3rd pick when you have a pt guard already

Yeah, I'm all for a better deal for us. We'll also have to move Nurk for a better fit and strengthen our bench but getting a second superstar who is only 22 and has a pretty obvious path to remedying what's kept him out to this point would be a huge swing and I'd love it.

Man I really like PG as a player but $46m and $49m hurt. But I suppose it’s not bad if the package was Ant, Nurk, Nas, and two top 10 protected picks for PG after trading 23 to the Bulls for our 1sts back. Maybe we could trade the GPII TPE for a player from another team to swing with Keon to LAC for Zubac in the package as well.

That would still leave us think at C. I think that with PG, Jody has to be willing to spend on this roster. Trade for Gafford’s contract into the other TPE so we can have a solid big rotation.

I wouldn’t trade #3 for PG, but if that package was good enough for them, I would do it. PG at his age is still a bigger upgrade at SF than Ayton would be for us at C. PG is another lethal shooter, I think you HAVE to go with Amen. I’m not sure Miller could ever be better than PG.

    Dame/Amen/Mays
    Sharpe/Thybulle
    PG/Amen/Thybulle
    Grant/Watford/Walker
    Zubac/Gafford

    And that’s before FA starts.

I really like the thought of Dame, Sharpe, PG, and Grant playing together—all of those guys can really space the floor.

I also like the idea of having at least four shooters on the team to plug around Amen. I like the thought of Dame/PG/Amen/Grant together as well. If Amen’s defense translates quicker than his offense, Amen/PG/Thybulle give us three adequate PoA defenders, four if Shae takes another leap on defense.

Yesterday this thread looked like being obsolete, but now it looks relevant again! I still say Amen rather than Miller.
