Simmons and Zion? Are we the team now for reclamation projects? Let it be noted that I am not opposed to this crazy idea.
Lots of what ifs. The absolute anti-Olshey swing

Yep. I think people forget Kawhi wasn’t a sure think when Toronto traded for him. He had a mystery injury and wouldn’t play for Spurs.

This one would be the demise of the franchise, imo.
The stink would be so overwhelming that new owner and location would be in the works.

bold and stupid are side by side on the freeway and often, there's no white line dividing them

Minny was bold in trading for Gobert; Phoenix was bold in trading for Durant

You know the thing with all this Scoot and Miller talk around the NBA is Wemby has been almost forgotten and I might start to root for the Spurs outside of them playing Portland cause with Pop's running things this team could be back in the hunt within 2 or 3 years.

Durant could still work out for Phoenix. That door hasn't shut yet.

Gobert was just stupid. There's no excusing that one.

Making it clear that it's not something I'm advocating for, BUT...

A 1-4 lineup of Dame, Sharpe, Grant, and Zion would need a lot of shots. Would a 7', top-10 defending, imminently switchable defender who really only wants to distribute and likely bring a good deal more back in a trade be that bad of a fit at the 5?

I can think of a lot of ideas that I like less than that one at C...

Simmons. That's what that discussion thread was kicking around. It's all beyond hypothetical anyway haha.

ok....I was just confused how a guy who was measured as 6′ 8.25" at the combine became 7'

of course, since Sharpe is 6'8 now....

Got it, you're taking exception with the height detail, not the idea.

He was 6’8 a few days ago so he’s probably at least 6’10 by now.

Wait, so Washington gets Marcus Morris and a bunch of second round picks?

I don't think Winger understands that when you tear a team down like OKC you need first rounds picks, not seconds.

if this 3-way trade is true it sets up for a Blazer / Boston trade perfectly -- this very well could be the 1st domino to fall in Brown to the Blazers -- something to monitor for sure. The reason I say that is the Celtics did not need Brogdon if they got Scoot and Ant but one could also see this as a way to clear up future money when they give Brown the super max but now they are set both ways.

They aren’t trading for Porzingas and his salary so they can follow up to trade Brown for a lotto pick LOL… they want to win now!
