Dame Time (for a trade)…

?

If you were GM, what would you do:

  1. Trade Dame, start the rebuild around Simons, Sharpe, and #3 Pick (Scoot or Miller)

  2. Trade Simons, #3 Pick, possibly Sharpe to build around 33 year old Dame

I don’t know why it bothers you so much. Skim over it.

Thanks and all but if you don't like what I'm posting feel free not to read it. If Dame is going or if we are making some (in my opinion) boneheaded mistake for the umpteenth time to try and pair him with a guy who should be playing PG that gets me riled up enough to be a bit repetitive.

I suggested this before but if for some reason we do trade Dame I think a 3 team trade would make sense. Miami gets Dame, Brooklyn gets Hero and Duncan and we get a shitload of draft picks from both teams. Brooklyn does it to dump Simons contract and still adds some decent players with smaller contracts. We do it for the draft picks and maybe big maybe Simons turns his career around with young team where he has no pressure.

    shitty trade???

OKC started THREE point guards in 2019-20 and got the 5 seed.

I'd be open to Ant to Orlando for #11
and then swap JC + 15 for 11.
Out of the three of them, I think JC is the best player (and most undervalued).

I think they will draft Amen before Scoot....If we did Draft Scoot it would be for a trade and/or Dame signed off on it especially if we trade Simons.

I understand all that, but the thing is you do not know if Dame will ask to be traded because Portland is taking Scoot. It may happen, it may not. We simply don't know what Dame will do

in fact, we don't even know yet if Portland will draft Scoot

yet, as I said, you have reached the conclusion that Portland is definitively drafting Scoot and that means Dame is definitely asking for a trade. And are saying those two things are done deals, over and over. You may be right, but I sure can't see how you can be so certain

First, it's not about being right anymore, it's about being first when you guess right. Second, it seems there are fans who think that their ideas here....actually have an effect on the decisions made.

Just freaking out a bit man. Draft eve for the second most important draft in my life. Sorry if it's been a little annoying or will be again before all of this is said and done.

it's no problem man...I like you a lot as a poster. I just thought you went a bit overboard with sudden conclusions

you very well could end up right about the impact on Dame if Portland picks Scoot. I just think people are underestimating Dame's desire to stay in Portland

something else too...Scoot has been compared often to Derrick Rose. I think a Dame/Rose combo could be deadly in the NBA. Yeah, there would be defensive problems, but not opponent could double team Dame anymore is prime-Rose was catching Dame's outlet pass

Posts like this are disingenuous. OKC started Shai at 6'6", Giddey at 6'8" and then a PG sized monster at SF in Dort 6'4". This is obviously far far different from what we're talking about with our team.

Am I the only one that won’t be able to sleep tonight?

Sometimes I can't sleep on the night before the draft but I think I got all of my crazy out earlier this evening and afternoon and morning so I should be good to sleep tonight. I mean not all of my crazy but at least enough to let me sleep.

If you're losing sleep over a team ranked 25th in the NBA, then I would advise cutting down on the coffee.

I'm losing sleep over the only sport ball team I care about. Their relative goodness has never factored into it.
