I have no idea. This thing is spinning faster than the spin cycle. I think most of it is posturing at this time. But there's a lot of other team potential moves now coming out. Could help reset the market. I do get the feeling the Blazers are not giving up the #3 for peanuts. And that's a great thing. Phoenix fleeced the Wizards, but the Wiz are completely breaking it down according to new trade rumors. They're looking at getting off all big contracts to achieve that 10 to 15 wins area for the season.
Draft Scoot Trade Keon, #23, and a handful of 2nd rounders for a new friend for Damian. Keep the fun to watch but not very good Blazer action rolling, then tank for new top 6 pick next season. Illusions of a playoff team during what is a full blown rebuild is instrumental moving forward. Look at all these stats! Isn't this fun Blazer fans?
I think there's a three-way where we get Zion and the #6 (and perhaps #11), send the #3 to NO, and send Anfernee to Orlando. Of course, the timing may not happen immediately and there may be other pieces, but that is the core of the trade to me. So, who would we target at #6 and perhaps #11?
I will call my shot now and it will come down to Zion or Brown and I think the Blazers will trade the 3rd pick and Ant to Boston for J. Brown -- I am sure there will be more to the trade but that is the bones of the deal but I could see a 3rd team involved too but who knows at this point. I kind of want Zion more then Brown even though the risk is much greater but another reason for Zion because risk is greater the team might be able to get more from the Pels like a Herb and other parts to help the roster I just do not think the Pels will do it. I think they are comfortable in the end giving Zion one more season cause if they are wrong and Zion blows up in Portland that would be major egg on that GM's face even if Scoot and Ant work out.
From all of the hints, rumors, and tea-leaves scattered about, I think... 1. We have (or will have soon) a deal in place for Zion + 2. I get the sense that they're hunting for more/better/safer, so working from that for either Bridges/Claxton or Jaylen Brown. I think one of those 3 deals happens for 3 tomorrow night (or obviously, as soon as they can happen).
Kuzma opted out. Wants a bigger contract. I would hear rumblings of Blazers getting Kuzma cheap for a year before a new fatty contract, but that idea just fell through the ropes
This is what I think and I just watched Woj and I'll embed the video below but he's saying while no offer has been good enough yet the best offers start to roll in as it gets closer to our pick and he could see a trade happening last minute... basically. I honestly think because of the risk and upside Zion+ is what we will do. When I say Zion plus I mean we'll likely include a third team and get an upgrade at C that fits and a bench piece or two plus Zion for pick 3, Ant and Nurk.
Marang (I know, I know...) said an hour ago on 1080 that he didn't think Zion alone was enough for Ant +3 -- said Murphy/Jones and 14 would likely need to be added. I think that's where we're at. Agree that it'll likely be NO that we end up dealing with and can definitely see a 3-team deal emerge sending Ant elsewhere, but I think between Zion's baggage, injuries and contract, we're going to get another impact player/asset or two back. Which I'm stoked about.
Yeah if we got Zion, Herb, and pick 14 for Ant and it would either have to be Nas or Knox and Keon... then I'd go for it. With Matisse, Herb and Trey we would be stacked with wings off the bench. So I'd look to trade Nurk, Nas, picks 14 and 23 to upgrade starting C and get a really good backup big and backup PG... maybe we'd snag one of those two backups with the TPMLE. So I'd do this, I think. It can be two separate trades but one of the picks would have to be made by us and the rights to it traded because of that motherfucking bastard Stepien. Add a good backup big with the TPMLE.
Wrong again. He's there because he likes hairy French chicks and cheap awesome table wine that he drinks like a poisson.
surprised people are think it's will be Zion for 3 if I were gauging the chance, I'd put it around 10-15%
