From what I read, it seems like the Rockets like Amen enough that they are comfortable staying put and grabbing Amen #4, but would be happy with Scoot or Brandon dropping to them.

Eason + #4 + #20 for #3 might even be too much of an ask. It’s possible they only do #4 and #20 for #3.

The idea that we're just going to try and split the baby is so foolish... either do everything you can to win with Dame or fucking trade him and get the rebuild going quicker. What has me really angry is the host of this interview laughing as she talks about how it doesn't make sense that Dame mentors young players on the off season but doesn't want to do that anymore on his team. What a fucking moron. He can be altruistic with his free time and still want to be competitive with his career.

And it mostly makes me sick because Jake Fischer has a great track record and Joe Cronin has a track record of poorly balanced rosters and being extremely conservative to the point of being timid as a GM on the trade market. If I have to listen to him after this draft say, "We wanted to make the big moves but they weren't there so we had to go into asset acquisition mode." I'm going to be furious but hey who the fuck really cares.

 

I also find it problematic that Fischer says that we will only trade pick three for a top 20 guy. How about two top 30 or 35 guys and draft considerations. I think the idea that it's superstar or bust along with the idea that we're definitely keeping Dame regardless is not good.

There's no reason at all to give Scoot away for anything less than a player we want. His value is only going to grow and stars will ask out of their situations as the season goes on. Move Scoot then. He's a generational point guard. If you don't like what you're being offered, don't give him up.

 

How anyone is getting upset over reports, of which 90% are water-carrying smokescreens, while nothing good/bad has happened, is beyond me.

also... trading a guy multiple sources call the definitive #1 pick if he were in the next two drafts for less than he's worth because of a positional misfit is idiotic for a team in our stage. we're not one player away. Hell, we're probably not two players away.

If no deal manifests by tmrw, take Scoot and groom him to become the heir apparent while thanking our lucky stars Charlotte done fucked up again.

The dead period I think has started not saying something might not leak but saying baseless rumors for now prolly dead for tonight as every front office is hard at work for tomorrow so I would be surprised if we hear anything else tonight. However if we do and it comes from a legit trusted source ( Woj etc ) I would put a little more stock in it then normal.

 

Not true. There must be reasonable accommodations for a disabled employee. For instance, more breaks if that helps. Small businesses are protected though. If you have less than 15 employees, you are not required to hire a disabled person.

 

Yes, I was simply saying Zion has been worth more than those guys so more worth the risk. Not debating you on the facts.
