Herro, Jovic, Jaime Jaquez, 2 future 1st and maybe a couple swaps sounds like a good haul to me… then flip Herro for addition picks or a young frontcourt player
Herro won't have any value. Especially if we trade Dame before Simons. We're going to get the same shitty offers for Herro that we will be getting for Simons.
I really did. I was ignorant on the situation, but as the trade market dictated and maturated it didn't make any sense for the players available to mortgage our future (#3). So yeah, I did lol
By all accounts Dame is super sharp, studies the market, knows what's out there, etc. I don't think there will be any "convincing him of lies", so much as convincing him that the maybe 5% increased likelihood of competing for a championship is less significant than cementing your legacy as the GOAT for a franchise and city who loves him.
When I checked my phone when I woke up this morning, I had a notification that @damianlillard went live on instagram. It wasn't available on any reel or anything, so I wonder what that was about. Totally expected a trade request haha
See I don't think trading him to a Nets team with Bridges, Cam Johnson, DFS, a guy in Simmons that Dame might think he can get to a better place, possibly Nurk if he goes with Dame and Royce O'Neal only increases Dame's chances at a title by 5%. I think that's a legit team especially with the ability to draw free agents that NYC has.
I just threw out a number. Maybe 10%? The broader point is that only 1 team wins it every year and needs to get consistently lucky to begin with -- regardless of what the team looks like on paper. To me its the difference of "really hard" or "really really hard". If you're Dame, and you're weighing a slightly improved chance at a title and the potential to slightly tarnish your legacy vs. being the goat and still having an albeit-lower-chance at competing, it feels like there's at least a lot to weigh there, especially when you've started a family here... My perception of Dame is that he just wants a chance so I think this is the kind of thought process he is and has been working through.
Dame trapped himself here with a massive contract -- OMG -- the stupidity continues -- He earned that deal by being one of the very best players in the league. I am curious if Giannis demanded out of Milwaukee would you say the same thing to him or Jokic or another elite player ?? If you would then all hope is lost for you cause your clueless and I want you to find a medical facility and have them study you cause you are a medical miracle. You are someone who is walking around without a functioning brain and that needs to be studied. I told you all the gloves were coming off and I ment it -- the old Rip is back until some sense of sanity is restored on this forum.
There are no guarantees that team would win it all but they would be a contender immediately... we don't have a realistic path to that right now, not if we are dedicated to seeing things through with Scoot and Shaedon and that's fine if that's what our team wants to do and it's fine if they don't say out loud that they want that. Dame will have to ask out and I think he will. I guess we'll wait and see.
It is almost like you are a heat fan, who showed up right after Dames interview and have constantly pushed trading Dame to Miami for garbage
If it happens (and I don't think it's at all certain) then I say it's at or shortly before the trade deadline. If Dame asks out, he'll do it discreetly and I think he can be persuaded to wait for the best offer. Plus it's kind of splashier to come in midseason and "save" a contender.
There should be downvotes for suggestions like this. The only thing I want from Miami is Spoelstra. Somebody kidnap his Dad (who lives in Portland, right?)
We're not now, but again, a decent Ant/Nurk trade and a good MLE signing (that Dame could certainly influence) and this team would look pretty darn good on paper as well. Both are well within possible.
