Adam Vinatieri has reached an agreement in principle with the Colts. This one stings for Patriots fans, but the team simply wasn't willing to pay a kicker a $3.5 million signing bonus. Some financial terms still reportedly have to be worked out. Vinatieri's biggest weakness, on kickoffs, isn't a factor for the Colts because they use a specialist. Vinatieri is probably hoping to kick indoors into his forties and now looks like the safest fantasy bet at his position. Wow, i would have to say this is one of the best signings of the offseason and it makes it even better knowing that we took one of our archrival' secret weapons.

Damn, great move by the Colts. They now have a kicker to rely on to make the big kicks.

I am going to go out on a limb right now and say that he will never miss a kick in the RCA dome/Lucas Oil Stadium. [IMG]

I cant imagine seeing a #4 Vinatieri Colts Jersey.Good signing, but itll look weird. And Bobferg, Vinatieri isnt that great of a kicker when it doesnt matter.....he only nailed 80% of his kicks last season, so the idea that he wont miss a single kick is kinda laughable. Although when its clutch time...hes the best there is.

Love Vinateri however as a Pats fan I learn to look at the positives, Vinateri had a bad year last year and Belichick came out and said that Adam wasn't worth that money. So bring on Paul Edinger!

I was joking. But also it is pretty damn hard to kick outside in newengland. I am just saying that now he is indoors.

The patriots r simply falling apart now. They lose Givens, Mangini, and now AV. Damn, I'm so happy. Btw, updating that MVanderjack is meeting with the Dallas Cowboys. Also, i give the Colts credit cuz they refuse to sign a good kicker, and sign a good kicker. Damn, they have smart GM!!
