I'll vote later....kinda hard to pay attention to the intricate details of the sigs when im half awake.....
I vote for Uptown to advanceUptown- Background is great, I am really feeling your style- Effect on whatever you did on the PSD is good- Don't like what you done with the text- Pixel border look decent, im digging itBiz- Text is very well good- Don't really like what you done with the background- The placement of the PSD is alright- I feel you left a lot of open space on your sig which is missingThis was a hard decision for me to choose because you both did a great job, you both had some postives and negatives.
Neither is very exceptional. it looks as if you both played it safe here.Uptown - Not liking the fact that he is in a practice jersey, doent look right to me IMO, also dont care for the text all that much. Perhaps you should have capitalized the Alexander part of it. Background is a little to plain too. BIZ - Very general layout, i do like the pic better but it leaves alot of open space that you didnt fill all that well IMO, I think the + marks are a little odd looking and could have been blended better. Font choice is lacking as well.Im going to go with.....BIZ on this one, neiter blew me away though.
-Simple, yet effective BG. Borderline on too simple though.-Pic looks good (except that its a practice jersey), but doesnt fit into BG. (Play with the levels/curves to brighten him up some and maybe change the tint of the background slightly)-Text effects are decent.....text placement is meh.-BG is too simple...it needs more then the gradient and tech brushes.-The picture was better blended into the background.-Text needs work. This is a really close battle. but im going to vote for UPTOWN by a slight margin.
I'm terribly sorry for now voting earlier.Anyways, here's the breakdown:BIZWay too boring, the color's a bit bland, background's not too good either. The constant + brushing is too repetitive IMO, doesn't look too good. However the picture selection is good, the effect looks great with the background. UptownI like the background. The lighting isn't good, though. The pattern was put in very well too. The pic selection isn't great, nor is the effect, or the blending of it matching the overall sig. I don't like all the gradient text either, the font's too thick and the overlapping isn't good, too dull too sum it up for the text. All in all, Vote:Uptown
