Dame already has already had a couple "Robins."
Dame and the Trail Blazers need another Batman. We may have got a couple of them in the last two drafts.

Wow, very sad if true. Seriously then what do we have then to trade besides Shae or Scoot if you prefer to try to keep Dame and bring in another very good player? Nurk is likely negative value, the cupboard is prety bare besides Shae and Scoot. This just reinforces to me that trading Dame is the way to go.

Dude, we didn't have Robins.... we had Batgirls. (not meant to be sexist... there just aren't a lot of other options beyond Batman and Robin.)

    Welcome to the club.
I don't think there really is a realistic way to get Dame to a championship level team in Portland.

    1) This reminds me of all the idiots who were saying Norm could play SF for the same reason. You don't play with the top of your head BS. How'd that go?
    2) The twins have about 20 lbs on Shaedon.
    3) Amen plays PG and Ausar plays SG, so you compared him to two non-small forwards.
    4) I also said 6'5.75 is on the LOW end.

    So, cool?

    Rupert is 6'6 barefoot with 8'10 and 7'2 (ish). That's a SF.

Lillard didn't enter the league out of high school like Ant...Lillard was a college player for multiple years. .an older rookie than Ant

Just imagine when players start playing in the high heel Jordans. 6’2 guards are gonna be 7’6 and nobody will be able to stop them.

Rudy Gobert is about to be a 9’4 wacky waving inflatable arm menace.

Picture this… Victor Wenbenyama has to duck at half court so he doesn’t bonk his head on the scoreboard.

And has 20 lbs on Shaedon, at minimum.

And just because someone plays a certain position, doesn't make them not "undersized", as I've said before ... Ant isn't SG sized (and plays SG) and Norm isn't SF sized and plays SF. Cam Whitmore probably isn't SF sized and more of a tweener, but he weighs damn near 240 lbs so he's not going to play SG.

Also the Hornets aren't exactly a shining example of a team blueprint to follow.

I'm sure if you went through the starting SFs a vast majority of them wouldn't be sub 200 lbs, sub 6'5, because... *shocker* that's not ideal SF size.

    Brandon Clarke isn't a starter...

And once again, weighs at least 9 lbs more than Shaedon.

And if the barefoot height doesn't matter, why don't you start looking for sub 6'5, sub 200 guys with the same standing reach and same wingspan (or longer) that are dominating at the SF position?

Right now, I’m telling Scoot he has to earn the starting spot. No matter how good Scoot is for his age, asking him to be better than a five year vet out the gate is a tall task for most rookies.

11 games starting w/o Dame last year for Ant:
    28ppg 3rpg 6apg — .46/.41/.94

We need to give Ant the chance to prove it wasn’t a fluke and that he can be a Fox-level lead guard somewhere else. Anything close to that sample size over the course of a half season, he will be worth two picks + assets at the trade deadline.

    Ant (18)/Scoot (30)/Mays
    Sharpe (32)/Ant (16)/Thybulle

With Van Fleet gone maybe Simons is tradeable to Toronto. We could trade straight across for Anunoby for Simons or Little and Simons for Siakam in a different deal. All work from a trade and dollar stand point

Its only a two year deal for 25Mil. Not exactly a long term buy

And that's why he needs to start next year, to rebuild that trade value.
