I’m sure this is being discussed in other threads, but he deserves his own as he would be a 1999 Pippen-level acquisition if we got him. How do we afford him? S&T?
It is, and there are a few options (some much more likely than others). 1) Vet min. 2) MLE (depending on Taxpayer or Regular) 3) S&T. Brought up earlier, there is a chance that Draymond can say something to the effect of "I'm going to Portland. I'll either take their 12M or you can get something back and I can get 3/100M (or something)." We don't have cap room (he's UFA) and he can't dictate the trade other than not signing the contract if he doesn't like the place they're trading him to. Eventually I'll have some time and dig into both the roster/cap holds/etc (I'm sure someone already has, but I haven't seen one yet), and the new CBA, but time is not one of my resources en masse right now. I'm just enjoying posting a few interactions and heading back to life...
Ain't happening. He's going back to Golden State, and if he wasn't, he'd be going to Sacramento, who have a coach he loves and a ton of cap room.
Dame…”Listen, here’s the idea. You leave Golden State and come to Portland for less money and no chance at winning a title. How’s that sound”? Draymond…” I don’t know, what’s the catch? It sounds almost TOO good”

Aaron J. Fentress @AaronJFentress · 2h According to multiple NBA sources, Draymond Green was NOT in Portland meeting with Damian Lillard regarding coming to the Blazers and all signs point to him returning to Golden State. #Ripcity /thread
Sorry, got to call it as I see it. I have zero respect for any player that punches his own teammate. Any place other than sports....it's called assault.
They probably didn’t initially know, but since you, me, the interwebz knows about the dinner, they probably did some investigating. Doesn’t seem that it’d be that hard. Add up how difficult it would be to make it work financially, and one could see how far fetched the entire scenario is.
