Walk/requesting trade is the same thing in this context. We wouldn't be getting back equal value.

the CBA text has always been available. Normal people just don't look for it.

    I'm not normal.

I agree drafting better is the optimal strategy.

My idea comes from the place that most players make market value, where 1st draft picks are often under market value, which makes them artificially more valuable. I know why they have a rookie scale, but I can't think of why they'd want to artificially make future draft picks and players on rookie deals a more valuable asset.

I guess the Mavs are not getting Drummond?

I predict we are signing or at least making a play at Bamba. They liked him last year and he fits what Chauncey is looking for.

See no reason why we would.

It would be a tradeable contract. So Richman was floating that they might try to delay the deadline so that they could opt-in if a trade came along.

I'm not sure I'd call it a "tradeable contract" but it would be a contract we could use in a much larger trade if we need to match salary. Yeah that makes sense to extend the deadline, and he likely does it as he could potentially pocked a free $3 million for the delay.

I guess the reason he wouldn't is if the Blazers are likely to cut him and he then loses an opportunity to sign at the start of free agency with another team. Not sure if we would have to give him a little bit of a guarantee to push this back.

Makes sense, Blazers could use another short guard

Yall thought we had too many guards with the quad group of Dame Ant Scoot Sharpe.

Can't wait to hear what the board thinks when we use the MLE tomorrow on a short guard.

Eric Gordon is useless. Work with Philly and Clippers to facilitate getting Ant to Philly and Nurk and Harden to LAC. POR gets ???

I was joking but I said:
Dame to 76ers and Harden walks next year? If you want pure cap savings and only picks then I guess this could be a consideration.
