    I’m shocked it’s a 5 year deal. But a deal worth an average $32m/year isn’t terrible. I was worried this was going to be a Tobias Harris type of deal. Grant is noticeably better with a starting salary that is $5m less than Tobias’s first year max salary at $32m. The TV deal will make it more tolerable as well.

    Five seasons makes his deal expiring in 2027-28. I’m hoping year 5 is a TO.

    What this prolly means is Dame is staying so all this trade Dame BS might go away at least for now

    Dame is staying. That's all I care about.
    Grant still needs to be taken in context to changes in the salary cap coming up.

    GodFuckingDammit, this franchise will never change. Another overpay for a mediocre defender who can't rebound and is basically useless unless he's shooting hot. Fuck this....

    Maybe shooting like one, but not defending/rebounding like one. For a guy that is long and athletic his lack of interest in rebounding was a deal breaker for me. Shit contract.

    Grant isn’t going be be un-moveable. Even if Dame ever requests a trade, Grant still is a really good help defender, lethal shooter, and good third shot creator. He could be moved for assets, but he could also help spread the floor for Scoot and Sharpe.

    Haha, I'm not drinkin the KoolAid, that's the problem. If I was I'd like that signing.

    Yeah, problem is, he won't get the calls when it matters and doesn't do enough of the dirty work to help the team win.
