    That's what people have been saying since Cronin took over, right?

    The Payton signing STILL doesn't make sense, although I am delighted we got some picks out of it.

    Maybe it will all make sense as we lie on our death beds, looking back at the Cronin regime.

    <20% of cap for your 2nd-best non-rookie deal player? Not a crusher at all. Were there better uses of this money in a vacuum? Sure. But Grant's value + Dame Tax = reasonable.

    Now, if you think that 3M overpays for Nurk, and for Simons and for Grant, and maxing Dame adds up to limited flexibility, you're not wrong.

    That was one of the few signings I liked--having Hart and GP2 both available in a playoff seems obviates 2 of the bigger weaknesses our team had.
    (Narrator: "But they traded both at the Deadline, and didn't make the playoffs.")

    FVV at 3 and $130? That’s like … a crap ton … $43+ million per?!
    And they have GTJ (UFA in a year) at SG and paid up for Poeltl at $20 million per and OG and Siakam as UFA in a year … with Siakam reportedly chasing teams away … and their future — Scottie Barnes.

    I’m going to guess the iceberg is thawing.

    Their 3-point shooting won't get any better. Last season they were 28th in that category.
