the houston rockets are gonna blow our doors off ... and they were BAD we might be the worst team in the league next year... with a historically weak draft
I don't believe I am overvaluing Watford at all. Look at the last 5 Blazer teams and I think you'll easily find at least 5 players on the rosters that were worse than Watford. Blazers may hve 6 or 7 worse next season. Watford effectively had a minimum contract. I just don't see any advantage in cutting him I suppose it could be the Blazers had landed on an evaluation of his talent and upside that said 'no loss if gone' but I don't share it if that's the case
What a horrible signal to the young guys. Can't trust the organization so no reason to be loyal. They saw what loyalty from a top 75 player of all time brought.
I'd love Brooklyn. A management team that is too dysfunctional to get out of their own way. Furthermore, Dame will get a taste of a real media market, one that doesn't lick his taint. My guess is he won't enjoy it. He'll have traded his loyalty card for nothing.
I just love the fact that on draft night Jay Billis said his game most reflected that of one Russell Westbrook! If that ain’t something to get excited about, I don’t know what is. Straight to the Hall of Fame!
Tremendous player, but I am more interested in a TEAM that accomplishes more, not just a player that has amazing personal stats. Sadly, that is what happened here. That is not a blame thing, just a tough reality.
I would not be opposed to this, but I think Cronin is doing a very logical job and does seem to put the franchise first with logical decisions, at least given the resource he seems to have.
and sharpe is a shooting guard who can play as small forward anyways, id rather have maxey than simons
How exactly is this Dames fault for leaving? Wouldn't you be pissed if you expressed loyalty but asked for help and saw they were doing the opposite? It's called being human. This organization failed him. That's not on dame and anyone who thinks otherwise is not thinking rationally imo.
Unless Dame already knew Cronin's off season was pretty much done except for back of the bench guys it might actually help Portland, a lot, for this ask to come now because it could mean the Blazers are in the thick of the biggest moves of the next 2 weeks. The Harden trade hasn't been completed...correct? Cam Johnson could be turned into a S&T. No player has actually signed as a free agent. coming this soon could give the Blazers a lot more leverage than if it came at the end of July
