The Vulcans rode Dame’s coattails into the ground

What makes anyone think that they won’t do the same to Scoot/Sharpe?

They won't be hard to get, if you want them.

Calling out fans on their fandom for being upset over a Dame trade is ridiculous. You don't have to spend on season tickets to be a Blazers fan. You can be upset with how the organization is being ran and still be a fan. The biggest fans will be the most upset. Your post makes no sense.

This is why Cronin didn't trade Lillard right away after taking over for Olshey. Fishing for ticket sales with a playoff Dame Blazer squad. Once Blazer fans got hooked, Cronin proceeded to scare Lillard and his superstar salary out of town.

My family has been season ticket holders since 1974. It sucks that Dame is leaving, but I'm still a Blazer fan. I'm excited about watching the young guys develop. I'm hoping they don't tear it down entirely. They have a solid young core. Grab a few more pieces and shoot to win now. I don't want to see multiple years in the gutter.

i think the new G-League team is only 15 bucks for tix. They might be a better squad then the Blazers.

Probably. Blazers don't need a g league team now. They are one.

there's too many hippies in Portland. No amount of good vibes is going to repair the damage Jody, Olshey & Cronin have inflicted on this team. The Blazers will be in Pistons tank mode for quite a few years.

I don't like where this team is headed, but will still be watching every fucking game this upcoming season. People can give up their tickets, burn jersey's, whatever if they want too but I don't see the point of getting that dramatic with it.

Thought Dame might stay, but he wants to go; is what it is, hope we can get something back decent for him.

Agreed. That's the hard part. He doesn't want to be here. I don't want to hold anyone captive. Nobody :"Deserves" to win a championship. You get paid well to do a job. Up until now you have embraced and been embraced by a passionate city.

If he wants to leave, trade him. But it's not about him at this rate, it's about the Blazers. Get the absolute best deal you can get. Picks, young players, etc. FUCK Miami and their shitty deal.

If we fuck this trade up i'm gonna be pissed.

    Will be keeping mine.

Trading Lillard makes us stop straddling the fence. Build around Scoot and Sharpe. With a far more reasonable vision for competing for a championship, albeit pushed further out, makes staying a season ticket holder more likely.

I root for the laundry, and the players wearing it. Once they are gone, I care about them about as much as they care about the Blazers and the fans.

    Bullshit.

It's not wins and losses....its about ownerships unwillingness to...uh...push for more wins!

Thats literally what you just said.

Any time the team has struggled, ownership is an easy blame.

Go back to the old OLive forums or any old message board active in the early 2000's and watch how Paul Allen was talked about.

Now it's "Paul Allen is rolling in his grave".

    Paul wasn't a perfect owner.

    Jody hasn't been perfect.

But to think that new ownership magically fixes things is willful ignorance. A lie we tell ourselves so we don't feel like just another bandwagon fan riding with wins and losses.
