If they get Dame. They’d be giving up Maxey in part of a ménage a trade with us and LAC involving Harden

I like Maxey, but is he a good fit with Scoot? Not an ideal situation.

So while we should be looking for ways to increase the trade value of one PG to trade eventually, you want to add another?

    Interesting roster construction there, friend.

Maxie is a very good young player on a rookie contract. Very valuable

yeeeeesh...looks like a shit 3-way for the Blazers. Philly only has one available 1st and that's in 2030. The Clippers have two first's available and those are in 2028 and 2030. And Morey will demand a 1st if any are on the move because that's the way he rolls

And 6'2 Maxey as the prize joining 6'3 Scoot and 6'3 Ant? Will the Blazers ever land some starting level wing other than Grant?

I would think more assets would be coming from LAC as well, and Maxey most likely moving to another team for additional assets (wing/big)

This is the Scoot and Shaedon thread.

a 4-team trade? getting pretty ambitious

if it's that big a trade, send Nurkic to LAC in exchange for Zubac

Scoot & Sharpe, let the timer to Portland exit begin. You're on the clock youngsters.

I'm not a fan of the 76ers-Clippers-Blazers trade as good PICKS are better. BUT ... while Miami's Herro is somewhere near Ant-level, the duplication is unacceptable. In contrast, Maxey -- from reports -- is a pretty aggressive player, an excellent 3-level scorer (per basic stats), and makes $4.3 million with a year until RFA.
Dude is an actual trade piece that can be moved during or after a trade. The only way Herro is in a trade with the Blazers is if he goes elsewhere DURING the trade ... and that's the way it needs to be for almost every player who doesn't fit; they're much harder to trade when it's known they aren't going to fit a team.
The problem with the Clippers and 76ers trade is who besides Maxey (and Zubac) and the quality of the picks.

As to Zubac to the Blazers with Nurkic to the Clippers? YUP. Nurk has to exit stage left. He called it.
What is laughable is the total lack of awareness on the part of people in the media wanting this trade trying to send Covington and Powell back to the Blazers. WTF?! They are not to be taken seriously on trade proposals. Entertainment with sources and some insight? Yes. Trade proposals like that? I like Norm, but absolutely not. Bad fit.
