    Paolo was 19 and started every game (72) he played and got 34 minutes per game.
    That's what should be happening with Scoot.
    Simons is not a good point guard. Scoot is.
    Simons battle for my minutes has to be with Sharpe, not Scoot.

    Scoot is easily a better ball handler and facilitator.

    While I agree, I think the starting lineup will be Scoot/Ant/Sharpe/Grant/?

    Scoot = legit point guard

    Simons = legit combo guard.

    PERFECT opportunity for Ant to elevate his trade value.

    So you’re saying you’re fine not maximizing Ant’s value to trade?

    I’d say maximizing Ant’s value is more important than making sure Scoot starts asap. It’s not like 50 games coming off the bench to start his career is going to affect his development, especially when Scoot will also be playing 30mpg already.

    I've finally figured out why I so high on Scoot. Simply put, he is a student of the game. He eats, sleeps, breathes basketball. He understands the business side of the game, the taking care of your body part, the need to watch film, and you can see it in his game.

    Dude, he isn't a student... he's an addict. The guy is in love with basketball.

    It's the same opportunity for Scoot to elevate his trade value. Everyone can elevate their trade value because fuck everyone, everyone is a trade asset. Perpetual roster turnover just because!!!

    I think Ant is going to play great. I think he’s going to average similar numbers to last year’s games without Dame.

    I think Ant averages 25/3/6 on ~.45/.40/.90 next year. He’s going to have a market if he averages close to that 11 game stretch but over a bigger sample size. Now we’re looking at any team who doesn’t have a legit AS-level PG. Toronto would be a team desperate for him. BOS, BRK, LAC, LAL, ORL, WAS, SAS are all teams that could also be interested in Ant if he produces at an AS level out the gate imo.

    I can't wait for the switch that leaves Dame guarding Scoot.

    (I equally dread however the barrage of 3s Dame is going to put on us.)

    Hmm, maybe we should trade for Simmons. Dame has a tough time when Ben guards him.

    Can't imagine why. If it comes to it in the second half, so be it, but you start the season building mindset and culture. I can assure you that the players and coach have no intention of tanking this year.
