Well we can’t trade him yet. Can’t happen until the 9th. But yeah I’m hoping that we hold out for the best deal.
Philly is waiting for the right package so it may take a while. I think it will take a while for Cronin to get the right package too.
So let’s say this 3 way goes through and we end up getting Jovic and Simmons and a bunch of 1st round picks. How many games does a starting unit like this win… Scoot Sharpe Jovic Grant Simmons 6th Man- Ant
Sadly, that will win as many playoff series this year as we have in the last 4 years. But the future will be brighter.
Honestly don't think there would be a bunch of 1sts included, but this would be interesting I'd be happy with. It sure would be entertaining to watch.
My understanding is if you do a sign and trade with Grant he looses the 5th year. He is not going to agree to that, so no way to do a S&T. Going to have to wait until trade deadline to trade Grant, if they go that route.
Agreed. Who knows what the timelines of everything are, with all of the stupid leaks. Everyone saying when something did or didn't happen. My guess is Dame said he wanted out at their meeting. Grant knows. We tell Grant we will sign you for your 5th year, and then do our best to send you to a contender at the deadline. We don't lose an asset, you get more money and more years. Win win.
Question for ya: Are you starting Scoot at PG or Ant? I’ve seen a lot of people saying Scoot should start right away, but I feel like starting Ant and building his trade value until the trade deadline benefits the organization more. I’m a big believer of his 11 game sample size without Dame last season. Anywhere around 25/3/6 on .45/.40/.90 over 40 games and he should be viewed by teams as a guy who can be a legit AS PG one day right? I don’t see a need to get rid of Ant right away, I think the minute split should be 34/32/30 between Ant/Shae/Scoot.
