No. Because people agreed with my thoughts on the team. If you want to be the kid pouting in the corner then by all means.
Hold out until Miami (or whoever) gets them as much as they can. It won't negatively affect the winning % significantly (esp if the shit Miami is trying to pawn off on the Blazers is what they take). Miami has kinda hamstrung themselves a bit. They got rid of some players and if they don't get Damian, they kinda screwed themselves over a bit (we know what that's like as a fan base). I trust that Damian isn't "Miami or bust", because if he is he's gone back on his own word and he seems to act like his word is his bond. And to further add onto the thread @Natebishop3 started elsewhere, Fuck Neil Olshey.
Except I wasn't. I just thought we should move on from Dame. And here we are. Plenty of people including @Natebishop3 were on that train with me.
I think we fans need to send a clear message to the Blazers' front office. We are Blazer fans first, Lillard fans second. He has asked to be traded. As the biggest trade chit in Blazer history, we need to maximize our value for him, no matter how long it takes or how it guts the team to which Lillard is traded. The National Media will of course start a #FreeDame movement, so locally, we as Blazer fans need to counter that narrative and let the front office know they have our full support. Mark my words, this is going to get ugly and we will be demonized in a way no other team has for wanting a return for our best player. The National Media wants us to play the role of the Washington Generals because to them Portland Trading Lillard, if done correctly, can be one step back, five steps forward.
Huh? Dude we all resoundingly bashed the front office.... Like... Wut? We just hope they don't fuck this up. Lol.
Was just going to post that. LOVE that movie. Visited his 'home' in the Tuscan hills from the movie. Amazing place just below the city of Pienza.
Im thinking we will get a star player that can help the team progress and plays tough D. Include Nurk or Simons to also get picks or younger players coupled with the star player.
