Find a way to get Eason to Portland instead of Tate.

Could the Pelicans be a good trade partner?

They could be a good third team.

I really doubt they'll move Eason at this point. But Jabari Smith, on the other hand.........

He's going to be so expensive... even if he wanted to stay, I'm not sure spending that much money on a guy with his skill set and age makes a lot of sense.

It makes more sense than spending it on Grant, but as a centerpiece for a Dame trade I don't think it makes sense.

    That's horrible dude. No way.

Jaylen Brown or nothing. Dame is worth more than Brown.

Jaylen Brown will be 27. A 2-way SF.
    Nurkic will be 29, Grant at 29, Thybulle 26, Ant 24, Nas 23 … Scoot 19, Sharpe 20, Murray will be 23, Rupert 19

Brown would be the #1 if he can do it. He gets a team. He’s got to work on his handles, but if he’s in the trade, he’ll be the best player Cronin could get. It’s a go for it move by both teams. Hope it happens.

Every Blazers fan should be wanting Damian to Boston if they want what's best not only for Portland, but Damian Lillard.

They'd definitely be sending Jaylen Brown to a third team. A team he'd want to play for who has a treasure trove of assets and is actively trying to get better with veterans. And that's Houston.

Jabari Smith, Tar Eason and Amen Thompson come to mind. I bet we could get two out of three in addition to picks. We need lottery level prospects back in addition to picks.

The Lakers gave up 3 lottery talents which two out of the three became all-stars.

Thompson has the higher upside but not the best match with Scoot.

Jabari Smith couldn't have gone to a worse situation than Houston for his rookie campaign. I suppose it's possible he's not very good, but I'll bet he'd be much better in another environment where guards aren't chucking everything. He could beat great fit with Scoot and Shae and add a new dimension that we don't yet have.

Yeah we need to surround him with shooters.

Smith cant dribble or really rebound. He's strictly a spot up shooter... basically a 6'-10" JJ Reddick (best case).

It was obvious watching the Auburn games that he wasnt even the best player on that team (Kessler was).

Unfortunately most people are smitten by the allure of shooting/scoring and overlook all the other facets of the game.

I'd take two out of the three. Jabari would probably be the first they'd sacrifice. Eason second. I'd be happy with those two and picks.

He projects to be a good defensive player as well. A great opportunity to buy low on last year's third best prospect and another good one in Eason or Thompson. A shooter that big has immense value for a team who has a point guard putting pressure on the rim.

Except he wasn't the third best prospect...
But we can agree to disagree here

But Brown wants the super max and would probably be 1 and done in Portland. KP would fill a hole at the 4 and allow Grant to play 3.

I think we need to keep in mind that a team that takes on Dame is taking on 35/36 year old Dame at 60 million per year. I don't think we're going to get a star for him.

I think Dame would have less success on the Celtics and I wonder if he would want to go there.

I venture a guess that the Miami life is appealing to Dame too. Just going off the fact that we’ve seen him for years spending off seasons in the tropics. Nice house on the beach in Miami… Seems horrible.
