That's called "Masai Ujiri" Shroder's a good backup. He's not a lead guard on a team that expects to get beyond the first round of the playoffs. And the Raptors are a team that could sustain giving up a wing. Edited for reality. Ujiri is Olshey 2.0 in terms of his players value. He thinks they are all worth a fortune, yet they struggled to be .500 last year. Apparently they aren't THAT great.
So you are saying we should sign a series of scrubs to 10-day contracts, and have each of them wear uniform number 0 next year? I like it. barfo
First, he does not sit by himself in the basement making decisions. There is a team of people, who bring perspectives from different organizations, and collectively they make a decision that they feel best serves the team. Second, nobody skips the first time in a position...It's the way it works. But, you can keep digging to find something to blame on one individual in the front office if that brings you joy.
well...count me on the side of those thinking there are too many Dame-trade threads. 20 threads on page 1 and 15 are Dame-trade threads. And one of the 5 that isn't is kind of a Fire Cronin because Dame want's a trade thread I can't keep up....of course I'm old and not smart
This is a great place for up to date info on that stuff and it's official. It also says that they haven't been signed. I have a hard time believing that Brooklyn wouldn't be interested in Dame and Dame said that would be a good place in the same interview that got all of this Miami shit stirred up. This updates regularly: https://www.nba.com/players/transactions
It's not just Joe. It's Jody and Vulcan, but I'm done with talking about it. Gonna wait to see what we get for Dame, and be ready to move on.
Like they were talking about this morning on whatever show, you don't sign a 33-year-old point guard who is owed 200mil unless you're absolutely confident he is going to guarantee at a championship. I'm sure they looked at their roster, and what he did for Portland's playoff record and said no thanks.
Honestly, it's the same 10 or so posters here that start these threads over and over again. A few happen to be mods too so...
You know, I kind of look at the Heat and think the same thing. Yes, they played for the championship. They also were a play-in team that caught lightning in a bottle and then lost three games in the finals by double digits. Even with Dame, I don't know that they're head and shoulders better than the Bucks, Celtics or Sixers in the East. They lost a good contributor in Strus. Unless Cronin really caves, one would figure they're going to lose at least one other good piece in the Lillard deal along with some depth pieces. And Dame isn't filling a position for a total stiff. While Lowry's not what he once was and certainly isn't Lillard, he was an all-star just a couple of years ago. He also more than doubles Dame's defensive win shares on a team that D's is up a lot more than the Blazers have. The trade gives the Heat a lot more star power but its not a move that says to me Miami absolutely becomes the beast of the east.
All thread on page 1 have the word Dame in the title, with the exception of the summer league thread, and the thread about Dame called, "Things you'll miss, thinks you won't". Let's talk about the players on the team....that want to be here?
