What I meant by the deal not happening quickly is ANY Dame deal. This is likely a drawn out process. I agree. I’d forgo a lot of draft capital for a chance on Zion with Scoot and Shaedon. Would still leave NOP with a lot of capital to go after someone else as well.
Portland still must require future picks in my opinion. In that case, I'm open to the idea because like you said, there is a huge upside. And if it's a total miss, we can probably get off the contract once Sharpe/Scoot hit their prime and Zion missing a million games will mean we got a couple more lottery picks along the way.
So not a fan of people answering your serious questions with gibberish? We are similar in that regard.
This is what i would love to see down the road after all said and done. "In 1989, at the peak of Walker's NFL career, the Cowboys sent Herschel Walker to the Vikings for five players and six draft picks. The players were LB Jesse Solomon, DB Isiac Holt, RB Darrin Nelson, LB David Howard, and DE Alex Stewart. The picks turned into players such as Emmitt Smith, Russell Maryland, Kevin Smith, and Darren Woodson.
No, but you save money and get young quality wings for the future. This is a solid base to start from. Much better than Simons Poole clone and a bunch of 28th picks from Miami.
This tweet is proof he knows nothing and has no source. Players don’t talk to him or Quick or Marang. I’ve stood talking to players as those guys walk by and try to say hi to them and they completely ignore them. They are stealing money from their employers.
my brain is pretty fucked up, so your post sent me to google in a frenzy of curiosity. First thing I asked, was origin of the word gibberish: the next stage was worrying about google's algorithm after this: WTF? Gibralter? where is gibberish spoken? really? hasn't google heard about S2?
https://sports.yahoo.com/the-ins-an...es-harden-are-moving-so-slowly-003139952.html The way I read this, is the longer we drag this out, the more likely Lillard's camp will cave to other destinations, and the better chance we have to secure a better package. Joe needs to pull a Morey here.
by the way, I think this needs to be said: I didn't think Dame would ask out; I wasn't sure and I certainly allowed for the possibility, but I thought there was a better than even chance he wouldn't I was wrong about that what has impressed me, a little, is that the people who were right, or at least most with a couple of exceptions, haven't been in this forum running 'I-told-you-so' victory laps. A few laps but nobody has really gone anywhere close to going overboard in neener-neener. Good display of maturity guys
Sounds like the Heat, by trying to get Dame without giving up anything of value, have kind of painted themselves into a corner. They've lost Strus and Vincent and don't really want Herro, but they can't do anything to fill out their roster until the Lillard trade is done. It'd be such a shame if the free agent market completely played out and no Dame trade was finalized. It'd be an even bigger shame if after all that happened the Blazers traded Dame somewhere else.
haha think we all feel sad about it. that said, i told you all that dame asked out last week in his meeting with cronin w/ goodwin present.
They have lost a LOT of outside shooting. They almost have to get Dame at this point or they are going to be a little thin.
also, this notion of Dame making his request public on day 2 of FA so that the team he wants to go to doesn't exhaust its flexibility or roster spots.... just leaves such a bad taste. isn't this the guy who didn't want to make trade demands so that his friends wouldn't have to uproot their families? what happened to him?
